today's update, not good: We didn't get good news today. Anna's counts went up again, despite the chemo she was given on Tues. Her white count went up to 8 with 90% blasts. Now would be a really good time for that miracle to happen. The doctors are running out of good options for Anna. She isn't feeling good and we are about to hit her with more chemo on Monday or Tuesday. Please pray for our sweet, beautiful girl.

Re: Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red '05 -- $79.99
A good price relative to what it's going for in the marketplace, but I've thought for the last 5 years or that it has been priced way too high.

The 01 and 03 are among my best Burgundy experiences. I still think that CdT is a highly unrated monopole GC, even if the price has risen in recent years.

I have a little time to wait, but I am pondering as to whether I should wait for the new 2011 or for less $ get the 2010. I presently have a 530xi and will lease the new car. Aside from the price differential, there is always the consideration of getting a car the first year that it is "changed."
I am thinking of getting the 535xi or maybe the 535i or even possibly the 550i. I believe ...

I really like both of those places, great additions to the LA restaurant scene. And the Philly cheesesteak is the best thing on the Bazaar menu (in my opinion, at least).
The wines sound pretty nice, too.
Cheers!

Kim... It's a secret. Seriously, nobody knows for sure, not even the owner, Jean- Jacques Sabon. But the answer is probably zero. The wine is produced with mostly old vine Grenache which is in the neighborhood of at least 100 years old and a little bit of Mourvedre and Cinsault.
Sabon Secret is one of the top Chateauneuf wines. But most people never see it due to it's very low production.

Joe,
convection will reduce time dramatically and increase crispiness on skin the best bet is to have a thermometer with a probe in the turkey, have enough space in between them so the air can circulate and cook the birds evenly. it should take no more than 2.5 hours at 350F (convection full speed) and you want to reach atemperature on the center of the breast of about 155F, then pull out...

My 2 favorites - never to be equaled. Both studs(as in not fat); one of lyric beauty, the other would bring down a building. Such a shame that we could not here them now - with all the modern enhancements. BB, yes Bjorling is great, but there is no there, there.

What is the average age of the wines in your cellar?
I just realized that CellarTracker gives average vintage data. Despite the huge influx of recent California wines (principally 2004 and later vintages), the weighted average vintage in my cellar is 2001, which is, of course, still quite young. If I exclude port (I did this using the CT ...

probably should have mentioned some recent events which raise the stakes dramatically, such as recent cap/trade legislation here and abroad, and the seemingly flat temperatures since 1998/2000.

The Best Deal On Wine That You've Ever Enjoyed?
About 6 or so years ago, 3 cases of 1995 Quinta da Roeda Vintage Port, for $5.99 a bottle. Drinking these while I'm waiting for the 94 Taylors, Fonsecas, and Dows to come around. I smile everytime I pop a cork on one of these.

Our bad.
That being said, most Chinese I know in Asia don't buy retail, only auction.. since...... auction is significantly cheaper for the same bottle. Wonder if that changes things?
