This looks like an appropriate Mac-compatible adapter: Amazon.com: USB2.0 To Ultra SCSI Converter Use Ultra Scsi Device As USB2.0: Electronics Now all you need is the right adapter to connect to those devices. Of course, that and you might also need drivers (although support might be built right into OS X).

hard drive replacement

No special drive is needed. Apple uses off the shelf hard drives same as would be used in a PC notebook computer. The only requirement is that the drive is SATA and 2.5" form factor. Take a look here on the OWC site. Regards.

IBook G4 12" 1.33Ghz G4. Purchased it over 4 years ago. Still works like new. Only changes is to add another Gig of RAM, 120GB HDD and 10.5 Leopard (No SL on Power PC!). It's the machine I rely on when I need a working computer to take on an important job.

How to open pages in Safari?

There are still some sites that will only work in IE in Windows... period. Typically (at least the ones I've hear about), these are private sites requiring a login to access the site. Have one that I use 5 days a week. Have managed to login with a couple of different browsers on both Win & OS X, but none of the data I need can be displayed except on IE.

I'm hearing of a lot of "slow talk", as well as multiple dropouts with Linksys Routers.... I don't have much to add on this, but I'm sure that you will get quite a response on this... but meanwhile, I would try unplugging it for a few minutes, and going again. That's very odd since I can play Xvid files just fine on my Mac and all I have installed is Perian and VLC.

Normally you can choose cut and paste from the drop down menu, but I thing the key combinations that are already known CMD+C and CMD+V makes it as easy as it's gonna get.
I don't think what you're mentioning is possible.

S'alright, I think I've done it now.
I had installed Little Snitch, and thought that dragging the app into trash would remove it. But it needed to be uninstalled. So I downloaded the programme again, and when I went to run it it said it was already installed, so all I had to do was uninstall.
One happy bunny now

OK - I answered my own question. Line out shows up in the list when I plug into it. But, it shows up as "Headset." I was missing it because I have a USB Headset that also shows up in the list. So, "Line Out" is actually "Headset." I suppose that's because the output is the headphone jack, and it's probably at headphone rather than line impedance.

Going to move this to a more appropriate forum.
Unfortunately, I can't comment on the deletion of your post being that I don't know the nature of the thread. But hopefully, a staff member can contact you as to why it was removed. But from time to time, posts do get moved and renamed. Sorry for the confusion.

You're kidding, right? Apple makes nothing here. It's all "Designed in California, made in China" as are most consumer electronics today from any company. Aside from "boutique" manufacturers, I think Dell was the last manufacturer to even assemble PCs here - they just shut down their last assembly plant a few weeks ago.

I have a plasma, I really do like the image quality, specifically the black quality.. it is NOT exactly light on the power usage though in comparison to LCD or LED. The plasma does, however, generate IR noise.. which is only really important if you're planning on using ir repeaters (you'd have to get ...

I've been following this since I first heard about this grimy little company from Florida a couple of years ago. Apparently Apple has been EVERYWHERE trying to kill Psystar. Then Psystar went under this year. Now they're DEAD.

Any computer can have problems, they are just machines. Macs have issues too, I just spent the weekend battling my wife's C2D iMac and I'm still not sure it's over.
Anyone who makes the promise you ask probably has a bridge to sell you cheap too...

It's definitely an intriguing idea and one certainly worth working on. I think it would help students in the long run, since all of their work would be on one device.
My family already uses the computer for nearly all of our school work ( I'm home schooled and currently focusing on my senior year). We email our "teacher" (aka parents) our work when we're done, and it's very efficient because ...
