Alan, I had something similar at the bottom edge of the rear wheel arch, just at the back of the
sill, where all the stones get thrown. I ended up taking all the paint off to non rusty metal. I also took the paint off on the inner wing at the rear of the sill as I found surface rust under the paint. It went a long way up the inner arch. The picture shows the initial findings but the surface rust ...

Just a thought, as this site is saved to My Favourites, does the new site use the same address; so if I click onto the same link tomorrow, I'll go straight onto the new site?
Anyone?

Probably not even read. I remember a woman on the radio, she wrote to
British Rail thanking them for their help with a train journey. She received a standard letter back apologising and including a free ticket as compensation for their failure.

Without sounding
glib Dan, save up for Raybrigs if you can.£90 a pair. Outstanding, the best lighting upgrade a Mk1 can have in my view...if you pardon the pun.
If you can't wait...

I'm not sure of the
exact time when the new site replaces this one, but is anyone else going to see if their thread or post will be the last up?
Or even to post the first thread on the new site?
Can we have a "what DID you look like" thread? All those years ago on the old site......ahhhh, [reminisce]

Nasty - but at least you got away with it!
I seem to remember something from YEARS ago about if you think you have an overheating problem turn the heater on full and put on the blower - though it might get a little warm (but at least we can drop our tops!) it does significantly help the cooling.
Mind, I might have been tempted to get the AA out for that and have the car relayed if necessary...

I live in hope that my sloth will awaken from her hibernation and pass the perpetual sttudent era and acctually get a out of bed before dinner, find a husband and leave home.
I never though for one minute that the bank of mum and dad would outlast my mortgage.
Enjoy the fact that dads taxi is declared SORN for a
short period and blast the 5 around a few sharp bends
