SMTP Connector
Published (2009-11-14 21:14:00)
I'm not clear what you're asking. Since you are talking about acquiring xyz.com you might want to know how to configure that in your Exchange Organization to allow the addition of addresses and/or users. The title of your post might mean you want to know how to set up routing directly to them. What exactly are you wanting information about?

Garth, Instead of modifying the default connectors please try to add an extra receive connector with the correct parameters.

Archive Group Calendar
Published (2009-11-13 11:02:00)
I've done this the simple way: Create a new PST file in your Outlook. Add a calendar to it. Open the Group Calendar with an account that has appropriate rights. Hit CTRL-SHIFT-F, set the third tab to show only messages that are from before a specific date, and make sure the search criteria are set correctly! Optionally (and make sure about this before doing anything else) try to exclude any recurring appointments that might extend to...

You can't go into the email from the Exchange server but you can do it from your own mail client. http://www.google.com/search?q=exchange+2007+full+mailbox+access&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe = will show you how to gain "full mailbox access" to the target mailbox.

Sounds like a permissions issue. Is it just you that has that ability or does everyone in your organization see the same thing? Can you open every mailbox using Outlook?

Does the new location of the FE server have full access to the BE servers? What's being allowed through the routing equipment (routers, firewalls, switches) between the two? The simplest variation (both servers in the same logical LAN whether physical or virtual) allows the two servers to communicate freely as well as to the Domain Controllers, Global Catalog servers, etc. What was ...

How are you migrating users to a temporary location? Exchange 2007 drastically reduces your IO. I would also recommend all your users being in cached mode. You could run in 2 RAID 1 mirrors but depending on your IO load you may want to looking to running a DAS.

I don't think it matters one way or another unless you are going to be having more than (say) half a dozen databases. Once you get there then it's easier to manage by having two mount point roots and then putting the stores and logs in one each. There isn't a recommendation one way or another that I'm aware of.

And how would you expect to expand the file at the other location? If you have bandwidth or storage problems you need to invest in the infrastructure or advise the workforce that due to budget constraints you are going to see delays in emails.

What is your current environment like? How many users? Are you transitioning from exchange 2003? What are your plans for your 2007 CCR cluster? Will you be using CCR locally, or across 2 locations/sites? You can get away with not using shared storage, however it all depends on what your current environment is like. Do you have any current limitations on your mailbox sizes? What about ...

Go to GoDaddy and buy one. http://www.google.com/search?q=request+certificate +Exchange+2007&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-u s:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe = will help. There are an insane number of ways you can do this job so read up a little and then decide which is the way you want to go.

Hi namo. You do need a global catalog domain controller. It can be either 2003 or 2008 DC. Please explain what you are trying to do and also describe your environment. By testing I am assume you mean that you ran the Best Practice Analyzer (BPA) and this came up with the error. It could just be that you do have a global catalog DC, but the account you ran the BPA does not have ...

Nothing that would help you. Your RAID sucks unfortunately and there's nothing you're going to be able to do about it. The Logs should not be on f:\ you should move them to thr RAID1 E:\ drive. The write performance of your store is going to be constrained but you're running SBS so there's only so many users doing only so much work.

I doubt this can be done... But just to make certain we understand what you want: 1) You want one user in your company to see no free/busy information for any user 2) You want all users in your company to not see the free/busy information of one user 3) You want one user in your company to not see the free/busy information of one user If it's 1 I can imagine some form of deny ...

If you've got no time period setting, then confirm by looking at your server. On that same configuration page you see the Message Tracking settings, it tells you where the log files are stored. Look there to see how far back they go. They are just text files subject to being moved or deleted by other means.

Microsoft removed the built-in instant messenger with Exchange 2003. If you want the cheapest Microsoft in-house solution you could go with LCS (Microsoft Live Communication Server)
