Send an e-mail to Jared at Alta and ask if they still have them. I honestly don't know of anyone that makes them.

Which insurance company?

Try getting a quote online at Moneysupermarket or Gocompare first to get an idea of your premium then give a call to Adrian Flux as they will match or even beat it if they can. I have insured my first Mini with them a couple of weeks ago and they not only offered the best price, (including roadside assistance/excess/windscreen/legal/personal/ Protected NCB...) but they also were really helpful and friendly over the phone which helps

Yes it more fun to drive, but, I try not to put many miles on it because I'm trying to make the CVT last as long as possible. Or until I come up with 7 or 8 grand.

It changed to the CAN/MOST bus with the R56, previous cars should all be IBUS.
Lots of good info on the mp3car.com forums for IBUS stuff, the hacktheibus Yahoo group is helpful too, but slow to approve new members lately

Thanks for joining our little study. As for maintenance, sadly I'm afraid a good number of the people who have experienced failures followed the servicing schedule, which includes changing the fluid.

runflats are slightly less grippy than regular tyres, so that might be what you're experiencing. also, that will vary according to which brand and model of tyre you're using. i have dunlop 5000 runflats on my MINI and i haven't noticed a wobble or loss of grip compared to other tyres. but the 5000's tend to be one of the grippiest runflats out there ...

Finding a car with nav maybe a little tricky, it was an expensive option from new so not many have it. Pana roof will be a little easier.
Chili pack gives you 17 inch wheels, ac, sports seats with 1/2 cloth 1/2 leather trim, xenon headlights, floormats etc on a cooper s.
Interior light pack is an option on MINIs made from November 2006 onwards
Visibilty pack = automatic lights and ...

Hi there you can fit an s exhaust but you will need hangers bolting or welding in place on the passenger side as a cooper doesnt have any. if you do this then the s exhaust will fit. Be aware the direction of the hangers on the rear boxes changed around 2004 so you will nedd to find the right one to suit the hangers already on the car.

I think there's plenty like it. There's a reason I chose the "Fuel for your MINI Obsession" tag line all those years ago... Been there, done that.
(Is this going to be a MINI-a-holics not so anonymous thread?!).

You can have a sunroof with a white roof and in my opinion it looks great
Visibility pack is great - get it! Once you've had it you won't want to be without it!
Spoiler is also a must have in my opinion
Sport button would again be a great option too (about £90), but it is well worth it - makes the steering heavier and throttle more sensitive when you're pushing on

For more on model designations ... FAQ: What are first generation, second generation, r53, r56 etc?
