No idea really mate but I would check all breathers are clear or maybe even think about doing a compression test on it. Is it all sparking ok on all four cylinders?

Straight through exhaust, air filter, good service, make sure ignition is timed correctly and fuel mixture is upto scratch,
That should make it a bit more responsive, but for top end wise your better off with fitting a bigger engine.

thing is even if you had 5k to buy the shell you would need another 10K to make it any good.
pretty awsome to see that people still have them stocked up like that though... + they probably only paid £500 a piece for them all them years ago
