Take the Old Town Trolley for a tour if you have not been here before. It stops at some neat places. If not: Go across the bridge to Coronado Island. Head over to the Hotel Del and have lunch there. Go to Point Loma. If you like fresh seafood, stop at Point Loma Seafoods. I highly recommend the crab sandwich on fresh sourdough. Drive through Fort Rosecrans and pay respects at one of the most awesome places. Go to the Point Loma Lighthouse....

I know very little about the Esprit, but the symptoms you describe could be the Trinary switch not allowing operation due to low or high refrigerant pressures. Stock 05 Elise diffuser. Its seen some track time. So, its got a ding, some light scratches and scuffs. Still functional, but not pretty. (see pics below) $99 obo . Sorry, local sale only. Its an oversized item, so shipping it will be too expensive to bother. If you're in LA, Inland Empire, SF Valley, or the OC.. i can meet you somewhere to arrange a convenient pick up for you. I'm...

OK. This is weird. My interior lamp when it is rocked in the up position (face of light angled upwards) goes on when the doors are opened. In the down posistion nothing happens. I have had it in the down position forever. Recently I was getting the 4 beeps when disabling the alarm with 1 flashing light on the dash (access panel, door, trunk or interior lamp misset) so I checked the interior ...

The upcoming Lotus Esprit may be powered by a 500hp Lexus V10 according to a report in the U.K.'s EVO magazine. Lotus has a long time partnership with Lexus parent company Toyota, using its Celica-sourced 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine for the Elise and Exige, as well as its the Camry-sourced 3.5-liter V6 for the Evora. According to EVO this relationship extends not just to the Toyota ...

Word of advice from my recent experience and another person i know. DO NOT POWDER COAT WHEELS TWICE!!!! Myself and another person had wheels powder coated multiple times, and with our wheels that were done multiple times, the rims cracked.... One powder coating session should be ok, but not multiple sessions....

We've made several of these little guys on a custom basis now and have been adding them to our TVS supercharger kit for a while as well. They've been so popular that I thought I'd formally announce that they're for sale. The kit is extremely labor intensive to make and there's a lot of parts that goes with this little kit and it could be the very thing to save your engine-- ESPECIALLY ...

Need ideas for power upgrades in my buddies 08 exige s240, he told me to get him a package together, and he wants to buy ASAP. do they make a smaller pulley kit for the blower? what is used to tune? max boost on stock blower? the car sees the road course a lot but he wants to keep it stock suspension until he feels comfortable, just needs a little more power to keep up in the straights. ...

It has come to my attention that Yahoo Mail is dumping all email from me into the " Spam" folder. So if you sent in payment but didn't get a confirmation message, look in the Spam folder for anything with "PGP" or "HexAngel" in the sender or subject, and mark it as "Not Spam" which should correct the problem. I've complained to Yahoo administration but apparently they're helpless to correct the ...

First, do you think this is a fair car to use as a comparison to the Evora? I mean it is the only other true 4 seater and the pricing is similar (at least for the base Panamera). Very well written article on the car by the way- Porsche wraps a 4-door hulk in racy corset - Los Angeles Times

Thinking of a Vespa LX 150... I've been thinking of one every since I started my new job, and especially since selling the Range Rover. It'd be perfect for getting around town and parking would never be an issue. The Lotus would truly become the fun/weekend toy. And I can park both vehicles in one parking spot if I need to. Vespa just ...

Its always a lot of people (owners included) that say its just a car blah blah blah. Well this actually happened about a couple months ago. I was in Daytona and stopped at this place. I parked up front by the door. Coincidently, another lotus (looked orange like mine but i think it was really yellow) came to the same place. The owner parked the car in the back. A girl who I was with ran ...

His question is a great one... At the end of the day...they ARE the same car. One has a 'fixed' roof and the other doesn't. The Exige doesn't have any more inherent performance vs the Elise. Yes, the Exige comes out of the box (mostly) with more hard core stuff...but, nothing that you can't easily bolt one the Elise. Heck, even the modern SC stuff you can bolt on the Elise makes it equal to (if...

I want a Lotus, I want one because I like Sports cars, they're unique and they are on the cheaper side of Fast Sports Cars. Now in that regard, I've been thinking maybe there are some other cars that I'm missing out on like the Lotus. Can anyone show me some cars that I would probably like for 25-30k? Thanks
