well your hair is beaitful in all the pics. but in the first set of pics it does look greasy and that could be causing a problem when you flat iron. causing the hair to burn and cause split ends if you thin you have them. what products do you use on your hair. maybe flat ironing once a week is too much for you.

Its the only way to go for me cause I have a lot of hair I usually condition overnight before co washing or use the ayurvedic oils the night before then use the Ayurveda tea mix the next day. Its beneficial cause it helps me with detangling easier and helps me get out of the bathroom in less than one hour with my hair. LOL See Pix below

I think it has something to do with the cuticles. Like how type 1 hair reflects the light because it is smooth and type 4 refracts light because it......well it isn't smooth. Gotta do with the shape of the hair strand or something I think.

I do this if I have a rollerset that I want to last. I find that I do not need any moisturizers for a few days if I use my beloved coconut oil. But for me, it will only last but for so long without moisturizer.

Sure, if someone is going for the kinky-straight look then its obvious.
Me personally, I'm a person of absolutes, if I'm wearing my hair kinky, I want it kinky from root to tip, if I'm wearing my hair curly, I want curls consistent from root to tip and if I straighten I want it consistently silky.
