I'd rather take a trip down Pikes Peak with my brakes disconnected as run a PC today with the System Restore shut down. System Restore is probably the most valuable thing ever given to us by MS, to handle those occasional "Awshitz" that are bound to come along for those people who insist on FUTZING with their PC's. I rely so much on System Restore to keep me out of hot water, that I even run a little script from my Startup...

Uninstall i-tunes. This appears to be the problem. I was having the
same problem. Uninstalled i-tunes, reboot, and everything works fine.
Maybe Apple's way of messing up microsoft??

I don't see anything suspicious here except for one entry which seems to be just a reference at this point. We can try disabling some startup programs to see if it helps:
