A woman playing PS3? blasphemy! no, jk. anyway, My friend had the exact same problem this summer. I dunno how he solved it though. maybe you should either get the controllers checked by a professional or get one of your friends to use his/her own controller to connect to your PS3. if none are connecting, my guess is the bluetooth in the console, and you'll need something different.
