Hi MsJennie! I'm in the early stages. I had orientation last Tuesday (11/25) and I now have a surgeon appt for 1/8. They told me to call 2-3 times a week and see if they have any cancellation appts available since I'm really flexible with appt days and times. My surgeon is going to be Dr. Judith Park.
I started the 1200 calorie diet on Friday after Thanksgiving and I've lost 4 lbs this week! ...

I agree you need to talk with the doctor however one thing that helped me was to take some sips of very warm tea or water and then take the tablet with more warm water/tea. Hope it helps

Hello everybody! I just had my band removed after suffering on & off for 6yrs. The band did help me loose weight but in return i gained health problems. I am 5 days debanded and im just trying to be patient and let my stomach heal back to normal. I still suffer from acid reflux and indigestion symptoms;therefore im still on a liquad diet. my biggest fear is that my stomach is altered forever, but...

A fill center in or near Chicago would be PERFECT! The fact that I have to go to Troy, Michigan to get filled baffles me! For us, 'Self-Payers', I feel like this is the part of the LAP Band experiance that no one tells you about before hand...the frusteration of finding filling centers near...or somewhat near you!

Anyone out there have a October 2009 surgery date? Mine is scheduled for October 27 and I can't wait! I am having a bit of 'reality' anxiety I think.. now that the date is actually set - but I know this is the best decision for me. When I started this process, I was obviously seeing a varity of Dr.s and health professionals, PLUS, I had an eye infection and was seeing a specialist for that as well.
EVERY single doctor and health professional mentioned to me ( without any prompting on my part) their total dissapproval of this bill. The funny thing is, most of them really not knowing one another all stated had the same ...

Oh girl Im in..... I am seeing my family at thanksgiving and then I wont see them again till christmas.. Ive almost reached my goal for thanksgiving but Im going to want to lose 20 more before christmas..... that is a really big goal but I think I can do it... we will have to keep eachother super motivated!
