You will need to power scrub your t/case linkage, or pull the console to get in and free up the CDL, what ever you do, don't force it or you'll be buying a new linkage.

My cruise started working, its great while crusing, thank u for Joey, The issue was the actuator =The Rubber thing. super glue did the job. The Vacume line comes from the CC vacume pump to the T joint > one goe's to the break switch & other goe's to the actuator. Note: the break switch is very sensitive. I even had a problem with a break swith as well it was a easy fix.

me too. I've only been up there once, but it's one of my favorites. I think I'd like to camp on the upside of that creek crossing on the North spur as the fishing has to be better in that larger stream that the little one on the south spur. J.D.

I don't think touch-up paint should really be used with an expectation of it looking "good." Rather, it should be used to cover bare metal in the event of a rock chip. to prevent rust mostly and also so that it doesn't look like complete shit. To expect it to look perfect is folly.

Here are a few common issues to look for: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums...ad.php?t=14 781
Very low miles for an '05, nice find!
Service-wise, it is due for a new battery and brakes, would check those two first to see if already done. Oil/filter are due at 37.5K

The odds are it damaged more than just the linkage, but in order to fix the issue, I am pretty sure you have to drop the transmission to fix the linkage if that is the true issue.
by the way this is only the second P38 where I have heard of the driveshaft coming apart.

Did you put a straightedge on the manifold & head to check for warpage?
That'd be my guess - mine leaked for a year b/4 my wife made me fix it, it's been fine for over a year now.(pass side)

I had the Nittos before, but took them off when the Coopers came out. I like the Coopers better. I have been through some very sharp rocks all through CO, UT, and here in CA, and have never had a problem. Once I was forced, due to a narrow passage, to squeeze up against a sharp rock. I heard a big squeal, and was sure I had sidewalled myself. But it was only the sound of the tires rubbing so hard...

just curious why you would pay for a 4-wheel drive (A high end LR3 no
less), and then put tire chains on? Isn't part of owning a 4x4 knowing that
you get to avoid the chain-up in the snow? This is a heavy vehicle, I doubt
you would ever need chains on the West coast.

I had a pretty deep gouge on my rig near my driver side quater panel. I tried to use touch up paint and it looks like crap now.. Maybe it was just me...in my experience, touch up is only good for rock chips or small dings..not lines..

The biggest you can go without modifying rods is 285/60 (no rubbing issues) or
BFG A/T 265/65 (some rubbing). I would not run 275/65's without modifying the
rods.
