Stubborn Phase???
Published (2009-11-21 16:10:00)
It's not a "lax" on training, it is a phase. They all hit the teenager phase at different times. Alot do at 5-6 months, sounds like yours just got the fever a little late. This is a testing time, but it will pass. You might have to go back to some basics to re-inforce simple commands like : sit, come, etc. IMHO I would say "come" is the most important. If your dog isn't coming when called, go back...

If you are sure this is an injury it could be a type of puncture wound. And it is growing in size due to puss build up. You must soak off the scab and squeeze the wound to see if you get puss. And if so, clean if all out. You don't want this to turn into an abcess. An abcess must heal from the inside out. Otherwise you get an infection. This means keeping the wound open daily, removing the scab etc. If you get puss and can't deal...

I just wonder if any of you have seen 'Paranormal Activity'. It's just coming out over here and I wondered if it lives up to the hype. Is it really that scary? __________________ Sue - mom to.. We do Thanksgiving brunch. Other family members do the turkey dinner. I make mini muffins, blueberry, banana, cranberry orange, chocolate chip, pumpkin, apple. Pumpkin spice pancakes with maple orange butter syrup. Bacon, canadian bacon, sausage cheese balls. Sour cream coffee cake. Fresh fruit strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapes, cherries, canalope, honey dew, watermelon, orange slices, kiwi, anything I can find....

Yep, I love Thanksgiving...
I always cook Christmas eve and my sis cooks for Thanksgiving. We will be spending Thanksgiving over her home. However, I do cook a turkey the night before so we can have the famous turkey sandwiches to munch on.

The person who stayed in their car and got to it first rather than acting like a total turd and sending someone to stand in it. JMO. I hate when people do stuff like that.

Marley will chew on her kong all the time! I also got her a new bone today made by nylabone. She's loving it right now...not sure how well it will hold up, but she's crazy about it. I'll attach the link of the bone...good luck!!

useless week 11/16-11/21
Finally, Monday yes, I am off today and gotta say, I really earned that day off. It was a long 6 day workweek for me. And after yesterday I am so beyond mad at two cooks that I was up half of the night trying to figure out how to handle that situation.
Anyhow, I hope everyone had a fun weekend...

Haven't gotten it. Won't get it. The doctors and health department around here have really botched implementation of the vaccine anyway. At this rate, it'll become available to us in June.

Anyone psyched for snow/winter?!
We just moved back from Florida to New England (we're both New England natives) and I'm so excited for winter and snow. We spend a lot of time outside (well, when we're not working and/or when I'm not in class), and where we just moved to has a lot of great trails for hiking. We also live near a ...

The difference between men and women.
I've been wanting a new living room set for about 5 years now. My poor old set is soooo worn, in fact on one side of the sofa you have to be careful when you sit because the wooden frame inside has no padding over it anymore. But, every year Barney says we can't afford it. Well, guess what he's ...
