Just all depends on what type of driving your doing. If im in city driving where there is a light every 1/2 mile or so, my mileage is at like 12-13. If im cruising down the freeway at 70 on cruise control i can get about 23-25.5 mpg. The best thing to do is make sure you tire pressure is right and be easy on the throttle and shift at early rpm's like you said your doing.

Sounds like you trust them but are just concerned about the possibility of the unknown "what ifs". I'd definitely get some sort of contract down on paper even if it's not a lawyer-written document... maybe get the contract "read aloud" on video by your friend and have him say "I completely agree" or something to that effect.
I'm no lawyer, but if you had the guy saying it on video and ...

We tried a few months ago for a meet & greet in Huntsville . We had about 10 commit and 3 of us showed up . I am always up for a get together with some GTO owners just give me a time and place. I live about 50 miles from Huntsville and don't mind getting to drive my car.
