Peace be on you buddy1. In addition to what LINUSES said, tell your friend that hope is the key for him to get back to normal life. Ask him to repent. I donot know what crime he has comitted but as if now, he has to undergo trail and other stuff. We pray Allah to bring ease for him. Do not let him leave the hope. God bless you.

I have discussed this with a non-Muslim, attempting to convince them that the way we slaughter meat is a humane method. I come to this conclusion form a uni study done in hannover... (many websites say the same thing) eg. http://www.themodernreligion.com/mis..._slaughter. htm
This makes sense aswel, when looking into the purpose of the jugular viens (what ends up being cut during slaughter)......
