Hopefully it's nothing too bad and just that she needs to change/add stuff in her diet. Just feed her some food, make sure she is getting enough calcium..just talk to your vet about it first though .. good luck and keep us posted

My Hannah Grrrl is gone
Published (2009-11-14 20:40:00)
She had a stroke this morning. The vet said it was likely still going on, and that I could choose to euthanize her or take her home and see if she recovered. She couldn't walk without help, but I brought her home. I stayed beside her on the floor as much as possible, telling her that I loved her. About an hour ago she lifted her paw and put it on my hand and looked at me. She started having a seizure or something and then just went limp....

Ann, I am so sorry, but at least you were with her when she passed. You were the last person she saw before she went to the rainbow bridge and that is only fitting since you loved her so much and she loved you so much. Both Lexcee & I send tons of hugs and kisses. If you need a shoulder, just pm me anytime. Hugs Susan & Lexcee

Found a Trainer!
Published (2009-11-14 06:29:00)
I finally found a dog trainer in our little town after almost a year of searching! She's willing to come to our house and give me some lessons with Jazz initially - hopefully she can help me to get her to walk on the lead without pulling, oh, and lots of other things too! I'm really excited about it, and looking forward to our first session next week. Hopefully somewhere down the line we can start up a small weekly training group -...

I totally understand the eye thing. My husband's cat goes for the eyes when
she's mad. She's goten one of the other cats, and Brigit the night she came
home. IT scared the crap out of me. Maybe Tyra would be better off as a
single dog. Some dogs are just like that.

Oh Ann. How much more can you handle?!!? You are so wonderful for taking her home and being with her until the end. With as bonded as you are to all your pups this was probably the best.
RIP Hannah Grrrl

We are currently teaching Keegan to play dead. She lays on her back soooo cute with her legs up in the air. So I am taking a behavior that she already does and putting a name with it. After she gets the name we will begin teaching her to do it on command.
Wish I had more time to teach silly tricks, but now with new babies it is hard to find time for anything.

I use "Busybone" and a " Nyla-Bone". Plus I only feed dry food.
Best luck!!!

If he's never done anything like this before, I can only think that he may be injured or something.
Id see if you can get into the vet to make sure he is physcally OK.

Welcome to K9 ... It sounds like we have a few things in common. My dogs, food and eating at any rate!!!
Be sure to check out the "What's for Supper" thread under the "Other Issues" area. It under "Recipes". We've been talking food and sharing ideas there for a year or so!!!

If she is physcally fine, it is most likely fear based. It is pretty common for a new dog entering into a strange home to become fearful.
My first suggestion is the NEVER leave her in a room unsupervised. And for a few weeks, I personally wouldn't even allow her off leash around the other dogs.
Secondly, I would advise that you seek some professional help to determine her exact state ...
