Up in the picture folder, theres a post to put up a pic of your christmas tree and Santa with FC. We are going to vote on those pics and get a blinky done. The christmas tree one can be just the tree and the blinky will say somehting like Best or cutest christmas tree of the July 08' FC PG. Same as the Sants pic. You can either put the pic in PB or in the post in the picture folder.

Bedtime has become a nightmare...
Published (2009-12-12 12:55:00)
That is interesting Amy because she HAS had a runny nose. All the kids at daycare had it too so I just thought it was a cold. Maybe she is having a double whammy then with the eye teeth AND a cold too. I had considered getting her some Benadryl to dry that out, but I had children's Zyrtec at home that was recommended last time she had a cold so I just used that. It didn't seem to help much with the runny nose though. I'm hoping...

Bedtime has become a nightmare...

We used to use Benadryl (at suggestion of his doc) for Cooper when he had bad congestion and it kept him up at night.? Recently he saw an allergist and tested highly allergic to pollen and dust (just my luck that we live in an area that's frequently windy and dry with lots of dust LOL) and the doc recommended Zyrtec at bed time along with an asthma inhaler (which I need to confirm is ok with his lung doc, but I digress)....my point for...

MISERABLE!!!!
Published (2009-12-19 10:27:00)
I actually gave him benedryl this morning to help dry up his nose. He has been sick for 9 days and just cannot breathe. Last time he was sick he was 8 months old and his dr told me I could give him 1/4 tsp a that point. So i just gave him 1/4 before I read this.? So i guess I can give him a little bit more? Im so nervous about medicine when it says not for kids under 6.? KWIM?? But i have to help him with something at this oint.? Its teeth...

no worries Julie! DSD is 14, will be 15 the start of March. i am sure that she could have taken something that was said by my MIL the wrong way, but the specific thing she is stating that MIL said is 100% false. i know MIL could & would never say what DSD is saying...could it be twisted to DSD's advantage? absolutely. and being a teenager i can see how she's not fully aware of the damage it's now causing the whole...

Not sleeping much!
Published (2009-12-16 16:32:00)
Well, my suggestion would be not to let Alex do anything fun (like watch Nick Jr) when he is up when he should be sleeping. Can you keep him in a dark room, rock him, sing to him, etc until he gets sleepy? I know that probably gets old and you want to give up. I have never dealt with anything like that but I was just wondering how did it start? Did he ever go to sleep at bedtime or did he just stay up all night? I think you said before that...

MISERABLE!!!!

My sister (nurse and mom of 3) recommends Benadryl for I teeth/canines.? They are most directly connected to the sinuses via a nerve.? The Benadryl helps take the pressure off.? Some kids it does make very sleepy and some it has an opposite affect.? Lauren weights about 27 pounds and her dose is 3/4 of a teaspoon.

Have you tried Tylenol, or Motrin, or both? :-) Usually helps in our house, where Maya is a drama queen whenever she is working on new teeth.

Something that is spoiled is something that was forgotten and left to rot so no, a baby who doesn't cry is not spoiled. Until they have words, crying is their only way to communicate. I am not so conceited to think that if Camryn is crying, that *I* know she doesn't 'need' anything...who the hell am I to say what she does or doesn't need? Now, of course, when she cries now, I don't ...

Yes!! I finally found it! I had moved things off a desk I was trying to sell and get out of my livingroom so I could put my tree up. I ended up just putting the desk in the kitchen till Alex's room is done. The cord was on it and mixed in with DS1's laptop cord. I posted 2 links down below in my other post.

It's just my opinion, but I wouldn't put her to bed later. She probably isn't getting enough sleep which makes it more difficult for her to fall asleep on her own. That may be why she wants you to stay with her. We've gone through something similar here. A month or so ago we changed Jack's crib to a toddler bed since he had learned to get out of it. All the sudden we couldn't put him to bed...

My FC Is doing good getting 2 more teeth so that makes 10 now! I'm amazed how well she is doing with the tree. I think the funniest thing shes done so far this month is I caught her taking the bottom row of lights off the tree and trying to put them on her little push car lol It was so cute! We went to look at some lights tonight.. she loved it but she fell asleep before we were done. but we are...

How many weeks are you now? So the doctor is thinking of taking them because the girl isnt gaining well? I was born full term at 4 lbs even, so I would think with twins that is a good weight?!?

Glad to hear that it was only teething. It is hard to tell at this age if it's a power struggle or something else. You aren't the only to confuse them so don't feel bad. Just hug her extra tight and tell her that you love her. She doesn't know any different at this age.

how frustrating! i'm sorry your old pediatrician was so bad. i just wanted to respond to say that my niece had the surgery to put a tube in one of her tear ducts, and it was quick, painless, and with good results. i think she was 3 by the time she had it, but hers showed up later. my dd (who is 3) had the tear duct issue until she was about 6 months, and it did clear up on its own with ...
