You can't make changes to the files on your server with Firebug. Are you using FTP or NinjaXplorer to look at your files? It's easy to install and makes accessing your files through the administrator backend a snap. Once you have access to your files through FTP or NinjaXplorer, the...

How do you install this media? Is it throught the xml media tag? If you install them using JFile from the install.youcomponent.php then it will not be removed unless you remove them from your uninstall.yourcomponent.php file.

But in J!1.5, instead of $mainframe->getCfg('absolute_path') the constant JPATH_ROOT is used, and instead of slashes ("/") the directory separator is used, for broader compatibility: Code: require_...

The problem with Joomla 1.5.x is that the HTML module (was Custom module in 1.0.x) is no longer processed by the content plugins. Greetings: Joomla can be installed in the HTML document root directory. While it can be installed in any subdirectory, it can also be installed in the root HTML directory. What's your goal with the .htaccess file? Thank you.
