I believe I've seen ads on tv that say the BD will be available "for a limited time only".

I'm still trying to finish it. I love it but I can't read for too long at a time. Anyway, I'm at the bit when Hiroki Sugimura and Kazuo Kiriyama face off. I know Kiriyama's fate in the novel, I think. (Noriko shoots him?) It's weird how easy the students were to relate to. I'm a puny American after all. The narrative was a bit hard to adjust to. I don't know if it was the ...

I've recently decided that I want to start collecting LD's. They're basically the LP's of the movie biz. Anyway, I know there are some LD's that have a commentary or deleted scenes that were never transfered to DVD. So, I am asking two questions. Which LD's have rare features on them? and Which ones should I buy in general?

One of my favorite shows..who else watches? New season starts sept 18th! I just love how this show has no regard for political correctness, the topics they make fun of never cease to surprise/amaze me...

Discuss this man, his movies, his myth. Here in this thread. I love this guys' work. I love his idea of manipulation of flesh. I love how he morphed from a horror director into a mainstream Hollywood director who still plays by his rules. A History of Violence, I think, is one of the best movies of this decade. Videodrome is one of my favorite horror films. Naked Lunch is fucked up!!! ...

First off, awful debate. The format was horrid (how could both parties agree to that?) and gave no time for either candidate to really respond to the questions. Brokaw came off pretty bitchy too, but not as much as McCain. It looks like Obama learned from his mistakes at the first debate (not being stern enough, constantly saying McCain is right) while McCain learned nothing. He managed to be a ...

The zombie genre has gone up and down across time. It appears and reappears every decade or so. Its death usually comes because movie studios drain the zombie genre to death until audiences get tired of them. So they dissapear for a while, but since you cant keep a good zombie down a few years down the road, they reemerge again. Stronger then ever. I thought it be a good idea to ...

Here's my new tournament to decide the best movie of the 'All Time Box Office' list but with the difference that this list is adjusted for thicket price inflation. That means they are adjusting the price of the tickets for their value today. That puts Gone With the Wind at the top of the list, Titanic at the 6th place and The Dark Knight at the 29th position. Ok, let's start with this....
