Maybe the alternator. There are diodes in there that go bad and drain your battery.

Brake lights stay on - Topix

I've got the same thing going on with a 2000 Cherokee. It is the brake switch that folks have been discussing here. There's nothing wrong with my switch, it's just that when I let off the brake the pedal doesn't come forward enough to make the switch go off. I guess what I need to know is how do you increase the tension on the brake pedal so that it comes forward enough to turn the brake light off?

Wow I have a 2004 Grand the air and the heat went out. then one day when it was really cold The car did not start. The cable battery was a tad corroded. I wiggled the cable for now and the radio stopped working. I hate this car and I think a class action should go forward. Let me know when where and how.

I have a 93 Grand Cherokee 6 cyl. My problem is related to some in the sense that it won't start. I have no power when I open the door. I close the door and the radio flickers very faintly. There's a small amount of power to the bulb under the hood cause that's real dim as well( the one that shines on the engine). It's done this too me a couple times and the first time I pushed in the cigarette lighter and got all my power...

I just purchased this vehicle and upon driving at night noticed that the climate controls (hot/cold, settings) buttons do not light up. I am wondering if this is just my vehicle or if Jeep just forgot to put a standard feature in 99.99% of the vehicles in this suv. It is very frustrating because I cannot even see the buttons at night. Please let me know if others have the same issue or if it just was not included in this model.

Petterml, We also have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with climate control, but you get so used to things that you don't think about them & I can't remember if the controls light up or not! I will check this tonight and let you know, though. Happy New Year, DG

I also have a 02' GC with the same heating problem. I have no heat on the passenger side and plenty on the driver side. Which is fine for me (the driver) but kinda sucks for the passenger. I live in Alaska so it gets a bit chilly in the winter months. I've just recently had a new problem. None of my hazard/flasher lights work. This includes my turn signals. There isn't even the audible 'click' ...

My jeep has an intermittent stalling problem that my local Jeep dealer has been unable to duplicate. I have had it stall and die in all kinds of situations from highway driving to going slow in a parking lot. I have already replaced the battery, got fuel system cleaned, and had throttle and idle air valve cleaned. When they ran the diagnostics there are no codes showing even though each time it ...

I started out with my '93 Larado not starting 'till the check engine light came on, then a couple of weeks ago it would not start at all. No fire out of the coil. Coil tests show ok, changed out ECM to solve problem #1 hoping #2 would be included. No such luck! The only thing that didn't pass testing was the crankshaft position sensor so I replaced it. Still no luck with spark. Need suggestions, ...

My Jeep wont statr when it's been sitting 4 a while (like over night or 4 at least 6-7 hrs) I've checked fuel pressure, coil, rotor and fuses. I haven't taken out the crank case positioning sensor.but when it turns over it sounds rough then sounds good. there's no spark when it's cold. this has been going on for about 3 weeks now and I haven't been able to figure it out and it's driving me crazy
