Like today, "Tony Clifton Impersonator", I was able to take a closer shot at my videocam of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI after celebrating the Epiphany Mass, as he walked down the ailse inside St. Peter's Basilica. Afterwards at St Peter's Square, atop at his window for the Angelus, down below I spread a green and gold banner...

That marvellous voice of Elvis was so very seductive......and addictive! Today radio is full of talk shows and very little good music. In the early 50s in a day you might hear Tchaikovsky, Dean Martin, Caruso, Frankie Laine, Ella Fitzgerald, Jolson, Perry Como, Howard...

Well I hope that she will be okay. I am not one to judge, as others have, claiming that it was her former lifestyle that may have caused the illness. Once again I hope all goes well with her. Such a great singer!

Mr Giblets wrote: <quoted text>I find it very unpleasant that some people don't like her because she is Jewish. As far as black singers go, the rap craze has almost completely shut the mainstream of black music down. There are no Basies and Ellingtons any more. For me , the best singer ever was Bessie Smith. Agreed!

Darin_S wrote: <quoted text> Agreed. Ms. Winehouse is grossly overrated as an artist and is otherwise just another gutter-dwelling junkie. she knocks all the Beyonces, Madonnas and Careys into a sack. she is white, and won the award for "Best Black Singer" in the Black Artists awards. She has more power to her voice and more talent than all the USA wasters put together.

Happy Christmas (war is over), is my favorite holiday song,it has a positive message about the new year. Though I do enjoy, Elvis and Frank Sinatra's music as well. As far as who's the greatest, all polls lead to Sinatra,Elvis and the Beatles. Art is in the ear of the listener.

His looks, all the starlets he, um, electrified mention his eyes, attentiveness, and (I suppose by now) old school manners. Likewise, I respect Elvis, although don't really listen to him much. Then again, I prefer a rowboat to a carnival ride - just kidding! Elvis was...

Natalie wasn't criticizing Winehouse for having a drug problem, she was protesting the fact that Amy celebrates and even glorifies her lifestyle of drug use defiantly to the world and uses the vastly commercial medium of her music career to do so. Mrs. Cole, to her credit, NEVER dared to do that!...

Love 94 Smooth Jazz - Topix
Published (2009-01-01 13:31:23)
Now that LOVE94 is gone, we don't have any variety of music, all the stations locally play the SAME boring music over & over & over...PLEASE rethink your decision. Please bring back LOVE94, & a better Classical music station. We would love to have a variety, we don't ALL like the same music that you like. Thank You.

If I want to listen to dance music, Iwould listen to any of the other 100 radio stations out there. Jazz music is what made LOVE94 what it was.I think you guys made a mistake by removing it from the airwaves. I hope you rethink your decision.

There is ONLY ONE Queen of soul...and this is her. Anyone who doubts the existence of God only needs to here Aretha Franklin sing a single note. That voice is SURELY heaven made.

Judged: 1 Hey Daniel, Read slowly...... The first words were "what a talent"! Eartha herself took pride in being "sexy". Not one time was "slutty" mentioned......I think you're having a hard time defining the two. She did it with class and grace and withstood the hard times and bounced back. I would say that you, Anon56, and I are fans of hers, so let's just comment on this ...

No wonder the reporting is so bad in the Daily Press. This story is from the parent paper, and it's factually wrong. The claim that Eartha Kitt was answering a question posed by Lady Bird Johnson about the Vietnam War is completely false. This venue was a luncheon in which attendants where able to ask Lady Bird questions. Instead of asking a question, Eartha went on a tirade. She even stood on ...
