Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone has heard anything new about the iPhone coming to Japan? Back in December/January there was a report by the WSJ that DoCoMo and Softbank were both negotiating with Apple to sell the iPhone here, but I haven't heard anything since. Has anyone? In the past few days, carriers in more than a dozen countries (Europe, South America, Aust/NZ) have ...

Just curious, any gaijin girls here with Jmen? The few I have encountered are white and not very pretty, usually have stank attitudes and their husbands worship them. (And sometimes these Jmen are good looking!!) How does this happen? I know it is easy for gaijin men to snatch up a Jgirl, but what about the other way around? Do you ever see hot gaijin girls with Jmen...I know they ...

The university that I'm looking at has study abroad programs in Osaka and Tokyo. Well, Osaka is much cheaper to go to concerning tuition and such. So, what are the characteristics of Osaka? (versus Tokyo and other parts of Japan) Would it be a good place for me to go during college?

It's been awhile since I've posted, as I'm generally a lurker, but here goes nothing. I was in Japan from February through May this year, and came back this August to (hopefully) stay a while. I met a girl online and hooked up with her when I moved to Saitama. She's a nice girl with awesome parents and I honestly don't have an complaints aside from this whole bit coming up, but when it's ...

The renunciation from the Japanese point of view is that they will only accept you as a Japanese and never accept your us citizenship, which is just fine since you're living in Japan, from the US standpoint you never officially renounced your nationality officially, and will usually ignore it because you need to show intent that you actually wanted to renounce, otherwise its null and void from ...

My wife and I are going to construct an apartment building in Japan, around 8 floors or so. Most of the construction companies who have submitted tenders/designs have given us very standard Japanese designs (in my opinion). However, I would to have more of an open plan design, and also integrate environmentally friendly technology, such as light-tubes, reuse of grey-water, coated windows and...

Here it goes. Get your drink on and your swerve on before you read this sh!t. Make sure you got some liquor in you…. Cause this is straight SCANDULOUS relationship drama for mature audiences only. Just pretend you are at the movies… Note: Always love your woman no matter what. But that doesn’t mean being a pushover and letting her play you. Sometimes a negro needs to get physical with a woman...

I met a Japanese girl recently, and we've been on 2 dates. I quite like her, and after the first date it seemed that she was interested too. But our email exachanges after the 2nd date have me wondering if she is interested. The day after our 2nd date, I asked her about her day. She said: "I was busy too today and I'm going to be busy for a while. I hope you have a happy time...

Lots of interesting points here, When I wrote the original post I researched a bit about katakana to check my facts and as Wonky and Ken both state it has been around since the Heian time and was used as Ken states.
