I know for sure it isn't my kidneys.... I'm unfortunately too well versed in that lovely pain. The pain still hasn't gone away, despite changing positions, eating, drinking.... getting ready to jump in the shower to see if that helps.

Like the PPs said, I don't think it's a big deal. I sleep on both sides, but most of the time, I actually end up on my back. If I wake up and am uncomfortable, I roll over onto one of my sides again. I don't think you should worry at all and just try to be as comfortable on whatever side as you can :)

I wouldn't have minded if you did, my brain has totally left the building this weekend lol. Rob is in Louisiana so I feel like half a person right now. I forgot to call my mom about shopping with her yesterday and felt SO bad since I know she takes all that really personally since the divorce. So the board was the last thing on my mind. I swear I need to set a billion alarms to remember to do anything right now lol.

Glad you had a good appt! Not too much longer now and little Jessica will be here! Hope your grandpa does well during his surgery. My uncle is having the same thing in Jan. Is your grandpa having both knees done at once? I need to talk to my dr about a "birth plan" at my next appt too!

yea, back aches are a part of everyday? life at this stage!? but with back labor.. you still have contrations. those are still there.. so if its JUST a back ache. with no tightness in the uterus... its almost 100% just a back ache.. this is when life gets pretty miserable...im waiting till i cave and cry for an induction..

If the shower doesn't work, try ice. It might be sciatica or your muscles inflamed and I've had to ice my back every day from the pain. If neither works I'd call it in and see what you should do. Hopefully it's just back pain and not labor!

For me, the contractions started in my lower back and as it moved toward the front my back got tighter (but painfully so). It didnt stay, it came and went with the contractions, but felt like it stayed at the end. It went away the moment my baby was born though.

The only "jump start" for me would be if they wanted to induce me again. With my first, it was a "surprise" induction at a routine ultrasound. She was 2 weeks early. i am also not going to use specail deterant, i am going to wash a small load of his clothes in the detergant that we use ( arm and hammer) and if that doesnt cause any kind of rash or doesnt irritate his skin then i will just use that if it does then i will try and clear and free detergant. IMOO I think that the baby detergants are over rated and sometimes just used for marketing purposes.
