It's good to see that their logical reasoning is of the same standard as their scientific theories.

Considering the many people who don't vote and think that all politics is crud, it is less polarized than you might think.

I dunno, it wasn't a conscious genocide, as in "let's kill all the southeast asians", so its a little hyperbolic.
Still, 4 million of them dead. Carpet bombings of villages, agent orange - clearly there was a callousness there and an undervaluing of their lives.
Also: the 4 million figure includes those killed from all causes, whether that's asian versus asian or american versus asian.

Yes, definitely make sure your PSU is up to the job.
Make sure you use a PSU calculator before you make your decision. Don't want to have your GPU fail because it's underpowered.

As long as they are NOT requiring a sermon with the soup, I would not have a problem with it. Last week, some Boy Scouts came by and said they were collecting food. In general, I don't support the Boy Scouts. However, they were collecting food for the Second Harvest Food Bank. So I gave them some cans of food. Everybody has a different "line in the sand".
ETA: Thanks, SezMe.

I'm not sure how Quantum Mechanics would help with the study of consciousness.
The best research is in the field of neuroscience. We really do have measures that correlate very reliably with self-reports of consciousness. (And dualists have nothing to support the idea that consciousness can exist without a normally functioning human mind or vice versa--that is there's zero evidence of P-...

Realise that most of them are stolen from even earlier cultures and not worry about it.
Seriously, folktales (and their related themes) of many, many sources deeply underlay almost every element of history and literature of most cultures. To worry about only the Biblical ones is Genetic Fallacy. To worry about it in general is to rail against human nature and the way we evolved to think....

Well, just ask yourself ... where's the "growth" ?
If all or most of what Cash-for-Clunkers did was sell off overstocked inventories, then it's not at all unreasonable to assume that there really was little to no growth in that sector. Major automobile manufacturers had many months of very poor sales numbers ... some even went bankrupt. (I can easily imagine lots and lots of...
