HI Keys Looked. Liked. Bottom line: if ya dances with the devil, ya gotta adjust to the heat! I just wish Canadian legislators were better prepared to get them criminals good 'n' warm, eh?? Gawd how I wish we had something closer to RICO in place ... this is no-nonsense legislation ... not that we don't have some beautifully drafted laws ourselves, they're just more along the line of "stand in a prison's...

I'm glad you enjoyed the books. But anyone who makes use of a recipe given to him by me should have the paramedics and a stomach pump close by. You might check out some of Paul Prudhomme's recipes. Best, Jim PS: When were you at Mizzou?

Harmon, How cheap was that wine? And how much of it did you drink? A two year old joke, or whatever.... This is my favorite link. I did not see Kill Bill; was a fan of Clue, but it also reminds me of the Agatha Christie Hercule Poirot mysteries. Seem to remember the same line. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Clue And why is your gmail addy not functioning either? Or have you been reading Bell Jar? I hope not. The Michaels family owned a small farm in Canada, just yards away from the North Dakota border. Their land had been the subject of a minor dispute between the United States and Canada for generations. Mrs. Michaels, who had just celebrated her ninetieth birthday, lived on the farm with her son and three grandchildren. One day, her son came into her room holding a letter. "I just got some news, Mom," he said. "The...

LOL Marilyn. Osiris is the sweetest little guy. I thought since he was the litter ringleader he would be Mr. Willful like Chante, as they look so much alike but he is, so far, the least trouble. I can dose him with 3 medicines alone without fuss. His brother has learned to NOT swallow and he lets the vitamin molasses syrup slide out of his mouth. LOL. Osiris is my guy! I think he is my Chante returned and grateful to be home!

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS 1.Ever wonder about those people who spend $2.00 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backwards: NAIVE *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 2. Isn't making a smoking section in a restaurant like making a peeing section in a swimming pool? (My sentiments exactly) *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 3.OK.... so if the Jacksonville Jaguars are known as the "Jags" and theTampaBay Buccaneers are known as...

Thanks, Mr. Piper. That's a great letter. Best of everything with your blog. Bloggers have opened new areas in news communication that years ago were unimaginable. The best reporting, the best editorial writing, has always been done by those who are not accountable to an organization. Keep the faith, brother. Best, Jim

Thanks, Tiggy. I believe the stories in "Jesus Out to Sea" contain some glimpses into an earlier era that has, for good or bad, pretty much passed away. I think we're well rid of a lot of it, but we lost something along the way at the same time, much of which has been our common civility toward one another.
Anyway, keep the faith and stay in touch.
Best,
Jim
