For some reason, using this protocol, the Record button only sends a signal every other time it is pressed (The LED on the remote only flashes every other time it is pressed). I remember having this same issue back in the days when i used these codes without the extender, and I don't have ToadTog installed anyway. Placing other key-codes on the...

So I think the problem was that I'm only getting like 1v between pin 1 and pin 3 of the remote. Rather than chase that down, I'm going to use an external power supply (which is effectively what I had with my MAX232 circuit).

Denon Protocol Combo
Published (2009-11-30 21:25:00)
Hi, The attached link is a file with 8 learned signals from a Denon 1707 AV receiver. There seems to be many different devices numbers. (2,4,4-1,8,12) Does the Denon Combo offical protocol cover all of these device numbers or do I need to load a different protocol? http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7578 Thanks Mike

We need a different executor. Code: 7A.85.4A.B1 7A.85.59.A1 7A.85.50.A1 7A.85.53.A1 7A.85.56.A1 7A.85.59.A1 71.85.5C.A1 7A is the device. 85 is FF minus the device. Both correct. I don't know where that 71 came from. 4A, 59, 50, 53, 59, and 5C are the OBC numbers....

All your functions codes for TV 1000 are wrong. The second byte on all should not be $00. Most are $80. Some are different values depending on the subdevice. I have no idea what broke your's. If I were you, I'd just use 1000 for TV instead of mixing 810 and a bunch of key moves. Just assign all your keys in RM, paste in the device, assign 1000 to TV and be done with it. Also, you don't need the tv tuner command. CH+ or CH- does...

I think you will have to hope the box is in the supported list on the Pro-HD, as ADB are still using the 'Dreambox' protocol and I have a 100% failure rate trying to produce Custom Remotes for that protocol.

Hi, Yes, wnewell's response is what I am looking for. Much thanks. The one issue with CBL code 1376 is it doesn't have skip forward (top right of play) ... which is very useful in MythTV to skip past flagged commercials (with End or z). I was wondering what people do when their equipment gets out of sync (eg one devices is off when it should be on). How do people handle this scenario? Is this were a JP1 cable could help? I'm...

Are you aware that shifting the number keys is different than shifting other keys? You must press the shift key twice before pressing the number key you want to shift.

Hi 'srwalter' and welcome to the JP1 forums!
I took a look at your output and see that 'jp1xtest.exe' tried both types of interfaces (the DTR-controls-reset type followed by the RTS-controls-reset type) on COM1 but got no response from either technique.
Now, given that you've built the 3- transistor interface (for the JP1.2/JP1.3 remotes, I assume), it's the 2nd of those 2 ...

In Windows XP no such issues.
I just walked through 1/2 of the images using RM 1.97, cpu usage didn't move (0.75%), pek memory use for javaw.exe has'nt moved from 61meg. Just so you know where Windows stands.

I've been meaning to write something up for the XMP protocol to get decodeIR and RM in sync. I've just gotta say that I really hate this protocol, it's one of the most time consuming protocols to try and decode by hand. Plus, UEI learning remotes have a problem getting the learns just right and sometimes the burst pair that is saved is exactly half way between two valid pairs, so you don't ...

I've done a bit of research on this, but I'm not following this very well.
It appears that there is a hardware hack for this unit that loads XMBC into the Apple TV player.
The original remote has 6 commands and the hardware hack will interpret a long keypress + 2 additional key presses(?) to get you to directly to a given function. The original poster wanted to put these in a ...

I think we are all still not experts in LIRC, plus there may be issues specific to your LIRC hardware.
For both reasons it would be much harder to invent an lirc.conf file from scratch than to examine the one you made from imperfect learns and figure out what to fix.
So post that lirc.conf file (the one in which 1-9 etc. are reliable and 0, etc. are not).

The RCRP05B introduced some new protocols, and one of those protocols has the same ID as the standard pause protocol. I'm not quite sure how to fix this officially. But I know how to get around the problem. Even though RM doesn't show a protocol in the window, there is one there. If you copy that protocol and paste it into IR, your pause should work.

I have just loaded this device onto my Harmony Unoversal Remote and i see the same effect. The Protocol is always Streamzap, but the device is sometimes 2 (the number keys for example), and others have the Device as 3 (Ch+/Ch-).
I don't know of any way to incorporate that into a BIN file.
Sorry

I don't know why you are gettng these decodes, but Yamaha receivers use NEC1 protocol, device 122. By default in the NEC protocol, if a subdevice isn't specified, it set to (255-device). So that's where the 133 comes from.
Just set up NEC1, device 122, and use the OBCs from your learns. Or you could use one of the more recent Yamaha receiver upgrades available here.

Hi Scott. The comcast remotes are JP1.2 and JP1.3 flash remotes. I think yours is a JP1.2 remote. (Is the OK/Select button Gray) If so this would be a JP1.2 remote.
Many times we can do thing without a cable. We have upgrades for Olevia TV's that use Nec1, 0 ; Nec1, 4; and Nec1 4, 185. If this was a NEC1, 0 TV or a NEC1, 4 TV, we could get this up and running without a cable. ...

How come? The pad would have had to be connected to something. If someone has a working 15-100 and is willing to open it up, they could find where R21 connected to. Once you have the info you'll have to run ...

Fresh batteries?
Other than that, I think you have issues with the hardware. The RCA remote is pretty nice and very similar to the RS 15-13x series. Best Buy sells them so you can go take a look (although I would not recommend going near BB tomorrow if you're just going to look at remotes)
