Think Stargate with a time machine. That happens to look like a phonebooth. The "team" is the Doctor and whoever he thinks is good enough to tagalong, and the quality seems a cut above your typical SG filler.I haven't seen much of it lately - SciFi moved the reruns on me so I'veseen maybe 2 eps out of this updated version - but my impression is thatmuch like the Doctor himself, the show is bound ...

This fall Stargate Universe will be airing. It is suppose to be a departure
from the previous two shows and be far more character driven like Firefly
and Battlestar Galactica, but not as dark as Galactica got. If you've never
seen Stargate before, this show is meant to be a fresh entry point for new
viewers, so you don't need to watch the previous 15 seasons. I enjoyed the
previous two Stargate ...

Yeah, I see B5 got defended right off the bat.
I only read the first 40-odd comments. He really said he hadn't watched most of them at all? In his original post he said that he enjoyed Trek TOS when he saw it originally but hated Next Gen.
