The Republicans just introduced a bill in the Senate to restore the cuts to Medicare that are included in the health reform bills. It was defeated of course but that is not the last we will see of it. It forced all the dems to go on record as supporting cuts to Medicare. Certainly, that is true. Ted Kennedy saved his butt by 1) being rich and powerful, and 2) not talking to anyone but his own team of lawyers and coaches until he got his story the way he wanted it -took two days, as I recall.
As for Woods, I have absolutely no sympathy for someone who complains that there are malicious rumors being circulated about what happened when he is in the best position...
