I don't really understand your question. If you have applied for a conversion, and your application has been accepted, they should give you extensions to the current visa while they consider, which could take a long time. Didn't we have this conversation in another thread?

When I was there about 6 months ago they had heavy equipment in the half
dry like and where digging it deeper. They had a big earth dam holding half
the lake's water back from where they where working. IÂ’m not at all
surprised that its day now.

Welcome to IM.
Take a train journey to Haridwar and then hire a car from there. No need for a travel opeartor. However, due to environmental concerns, daily only 150 people are allowed on Gangotri-Gomukh trek. And you need to seek permission from Forest Office, Uttarkashi for this trip.

i dont think that you will get direct sandakphu car from siliguri...
you will have to get down at Mane Bhanjang..from their you will get vaichele for sandakphu..
jalpaiguri to mane--3.5 hrs
mane bhanjang to sandakphu--3 hrs.(31km)
so same day(9th may) will be dificult to reach their.
(day-4)( 11th May) - Trek to Phalut from sandakphu. (Distance?--21km Time taken--6hr)

Sounds like you have the right place for your query . . . and I must admit it will be difficult to avoid green chillies . . . Most Indians would feel horrified at the thought of food without 'hari mirchi' as we call it, many people actually munch them with the meals as salad!!
But that said . . . you could have the place whip you up something chilly free . . . learn the phrase 'mirchi nahin ...
