Fighting Mosquitoes: A...

Wow, and I thought I was a mass murderer! (of mosquitoes). Unfortunately, the fact that you are killing so many a day shows that killing the adults is the least effective means of control. Killing the larvae is what counts. Mosquitoes could be eradicated by ensuring that there is no waste water, open tanks, etc, and that all water bodies are treated with larvicide. Of course, there is a downside to everything, when it comes to messing with...

It's a nice description, Thirdreel. Reminds me of earlier this year in Dhar when the very friendly hotel keeper couldn't help but going on about how nice it was to have someone from the developed world stay there. No little to my shame, of course, but, well, you'll get the idea (here's me paying, what, Rs. 300-400 for the room btw, and a really excellent one I might add, mind). (And, but, yes, and very simply, in all our...

Even then report. BJP is out of power now. Write to them, perhaps they would take up the issue. As I said when and if the tourist department people come, Kasera proprieter would perhaps have to spend a few hundred/thousand more rupees to make them overlook his action.

When I last heard, one-third of Keralans were Christian. You'll have no problem finding churches and celebration.
Even here, in Chennai, where the percentage would be much less, you'd still have lots of choice of churches.

definitely possible - can you give more details on what kind of family is yours (ideally are they comfortable sitting in a car for long hours and that too in winding roads)
Its close to 7/8 hours one way to Nubra and close to 6 hours to Pangong Tso
Journey to Leh itself is a great fun from either Srinagar or Manali too bad you want to skip it - may be next time.

I think Amber Fort is more interesting than what's in Alwar. There is also more to see & do in Jaipur, if you feel like it.
Just my opinion. I thought Alwar wasn't much but I was only there for 1/2 day.
Perhaps someone else feels the opposite and will add to this thread.

More people will see this if you post it under the hotel or town or add it if it isn't already here. I don't know if this is the same one you are talking about. It also helps to give a website. The information you give is VERY important, but if no one can find it, you are just wasting your post. "Bad Hotels in India" just has no meaning. People do their research by where they will be going. ...
