In the article you linked it says 'On the U3S6 card, bottlenecks are alleviated by running the card in a x4 PCI-E mode." This is very true. The person must have gotten bit and bytes confused. PCI-E x4 is well above the maximum throughput of USB 3.0.

The only other thing I can think of is go to the crucial site and have them look at the motherboard with their free service and see what type of ram they recommend, then look and see if it is single sided or double sided ram when looking at the picture of the ram on their site. http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/index.aspx Nasty

rosewill cases are very plain. they get the job done but are pretty flimsy.
but if your not going to put anything really hot in (like a high end GPU) and you don't plan to move it much then Rosewill cases are ok

Now, more than ever, we need the 5000 series ATI cards to be supported. Stanford can't come out with that soon enough. I wish ATI would jump on the bandwagon and give Nvidia some competition in this area now that they have Nvidia on the run with their latest gaming offerings. Competition is always a good thing. Stiff competition gives us great gaming cards. Imagine the real and possibly life ...

Well...I'll try to help and throw in my view. Lots of different opinions here, but I will try to go with the one that keeps you in the game, not smashing hardware with a hammer out of frustration.
First of all, the big WUs need to be really cranked up to beat deadlines to give bonus points and need to be dedicated folders 24/7. If you don't beat the deadline you get NO bonus which really ...

Modding the Xbox violates the contract with MS Live .. it says so in the EULA.

Got 2 similar problems:
The first is we have a pc with the 64 bit Win 7 RC, Dell finnally sent the upgrade disc for Win 7 but it's only 32 bit.
I know i can do a clean install if Win 7 with the upgrade (or should) so 64 to 32 is no big deal but i have 2 programs i'm having a hedache finding the discs for (Office 2007 and Quickbook 2007) and was wondering if there would be a way to...

Something like this happens to me when I use Windows 7. When I am playing a game I usually have Firefox running underneath it with the Forecast Fox add on. Whenever Forecast Fox gives a weather update it has a little box that appears and it forces my game to go to window mode instead of full screen.
Do you have anything running that notifies you like Firefox or an anti virus ...

The SuperChip64 Monitoring Thread - Top20 #10
SuperChip64 was our big winner in the 2009 Point Quickie.
We are looking for him to go from his normal 14,000+ to 150,000 more per day for 20 days.
It should happen quickly (to be expected for a Quickie, I imagine)

Any time now we should see him arrive at ...

Morning all,
I am looking to build a base machine for my wife, I need to use her P4 2.8 as a WHS machine.
I have the case, video card, etc. but would really like to get a decent machine for her (no gaming required).
I am so use to building high end machines, I don't know what would be the best for good cheap machine.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
