...I got a phone call Friday from our vet (a month to the day we lost Murphy). Someone brought in a beagle that had been hit by a car. They didn't want to pay to get her fixed up and asked to put her down. The vet refused and ask he surrender her to the hospital. He did. She has road rash on her belly, some spots that were stitched up, and two broken bones in her foot. She is about a year old, ...

OK, My Westie Theodore has SEVERE allergies, and he is allergic to almost all dry kibble food. We changed his diet in accordance with his allergies, and are feeding him Primal Pet Food Venison. He likes it, but I have just discovered another food, a supplement actually made by The Honest Kitchen. With this one I would have to buy my own meat and mix it in with the supplement. Money is not issue,...

Hi All We've just discovered this forum. We're out of Montreal and run a breed specific rescue for Chow Chows and Chinese Shar-Pei. We're also devout prey-model raw feeders so hopefully we'll meet some similars here too! Cheers and happy Labour Day Weekend. MM (Merlin's Mom)

If your dog threw up a few days ago and is eating and drinking and acting normal, that really shouldn't affect him not wanting to be held. Maybe there is something else that triggered the behavior change like a new person in the house, a new pet or a neighbor with a new pet, or perhaps moving furniture or something else. Since he is acting normal otherwise I would probably wait a few ...

My name is Jacey and I have a dog named Sabrael which means the only angel to fight off the demon of disease, we chose it because me, my little sister, my dad, and older sister are battling a disease called Huntington's Disease, it slowly takes away your abilities until it kills you... anyways he is very cute and has a great personality but hasn't been feeling well poor puppy

Since I'm taking this course, I'm looking for people with dogs or other animals, cats, horses that would be willing to let me practice on their critters with a clicker. I'm also looking for someone as an assistant for the odd lessons, not sure how far along in the course that would be, but once I start I'll know more. Also looking for someone to help with the Canine Good Citizen stuff, ...

I am numb ... the wave of tears have been replaced by an aching emptiness. My sweet Odin is no longer with us. It was so sudden and unexpected. On Saturday night Aug. 9 he was attempting to stand up and just collapsed on his side. I thought he'd had a heart attack or stroke. I went to right him he was so limp that at first I thought I'd lost him. But he seemed to revive, though looked ...
