My batter went dead with no warning just as I was about to start the 48+ ride. Less than 1,000 miles and only 6 months old at that time. My dealer over at Cape Girardeau was not to far away so they brought me a new one. Same brand as I recall, but made here. No battery problems since then.....

Nadda zippo nothing?
Check squat switches...clutch/side stand?..How old is the battery? Check the voltage with a meter, or take it to your local auto store for a check.
Kill switch

I feel for you. I bought my 2000 this spring and I also feel the efects of
knee surgery, lower back problems etc. My K75 is more comfortable to ride.
I won't give up on my KRS though, it's just too! much fun to ride. I'm in
the process of raising my pain tolerence level. Best of luck. Perhaps an
older K100 will keep you in the K family and a more ergo sensitive
ride........

Incredibly sad.
Just curious which part of the linked article made you title this that there may be terrorists in the army - the article specifically says otherwise.

So what was the very 1st concert you ever attended?
This was a topic that came up at the AHR a couple of weeks ago and it was fun hearing everyone's story and what they remember.
Mine was Steppenwolf in 1969!
We were living in Greenville, SC at the time and my dad dropped me & my brother off for the show and we thought we were the coolest!!
