Matt Damon implied to be gay
Published (2009-12-10 05:23:00)
1) I call many times queers per day. The scene is important to show his competitiveness. 2) That was not flirting. you should take body language courses. 3) Sometimes it happens to all men in their lifetime especially under enormous pressure. Your so called evidence is just laughable.

Sounds like you got a bromance going on with Matt Damon. Do you try to hide your homosexual side like Matt Damon does in this movie?

Oh, yeah. Definitely. Everyone knows hysterical laughing is the Number One indicater of casual gayness. Number two is uncontrollable farting during masturbation. Windmills do not work that way!

Jack stole the show as Frank.
Published (2009-12-16 18:29:00)
I really dont agree, it was same old, same old. To be honest I'd have prefered someone else to do the role and bring something new to the table. Im not saying it was terrible its just if you've seen all of Jack's films you begin to know what to expect. The last film I really enjoyed him in was As Good as it Gets. Ray Winstone's character was more interesting for the bad guys imo, I'd have liked to have seen more of...

Nothing implying he was gay, but just him being insecure in his own manhood which was an important theme of the film.

This post was deleted for the following reasons: -it called Captain Queenen and Sgt. Dignam *beep* -it didn't put a video camera in the back. -it doesn't know how to spell "citizens' correctly. -it fell funny. -it's from Providence. -it doesn't have duck l'orange on its menu. -it doesn't answer the phone promptly when Frank Costello calls.

She did tell someone - Dignam, and that's why he killed Sullivan. The last time Costigan saw Madolyn, he left her an envelope, to be opened "if anything happens to him". It contained discs proving Sullivan was corrupt, and she must have given them to Dignam. Although Dignam suspected Sullivan was responsible for Queenan's death, he wouldn't actually murder Sullivan unless he had proof, which only...

who is everyone? i saw ia first and it was just not that great. maybe it's the production values suck compared to an american made film. maybe it's that the departed was directed by scorsese, or maybe because it has one of the best casts ever assembled, or maybe because it's overall more colorful, rich and entertaining. i dunno - maybe it's all of that. my opinion is that scorsese took some ...

I attribute the accuracy of the shooting in this movie to 2 things....
1. Most of the people who shoot are cops, and are gonna be good at shooting. Even the criminal who shoots the plain clothes officer during Queenans(?) and Costigans meet shot several times and only hit him once.
2. Most of the people who are shot in this movie aren't even really in a "gun fight" so much as they are ...

I thought dicaprio played the role well. infact he should have been nominated for this role over blood diamond. don't get me wrong he was awesome in blood diamond but i thought his performance in the departed was much better.
anyways to answer your question. im guessing dicaprio's character didn't really know what he was getting into. either that or the fact that he could have mean made out as...

Interesting list, and definetely not a bad one. I agree with many of your choices.
But this decade has also had Denzel Washington in Training Day , Vincent D'Onofrio in The Salton Sea , Jude Law in Road to Perdition , Bruno Ganz in Downfall , and Tom Cruise in Collateral . Some of those probably deserve consideration.
Cheers.

If you mean the "jump cuts" is a very important factor in the departed. Obviously you never watched Godard. Go educate yourself about movies and then come back criticizing.
