mine was probably Cat On A Hot Tin Roof because of the sparks between him & Liz Taylor and that was even before I'd ever known about the personal loss he had been through prior to production with the loss of his & Joanne's first child

I don't think
I've seen enough Paul Newman movies to comment. But I must say that I've loved him in every movie I've seen so far (Cool Hand Luke, Long Hot Summer, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, Hud) but a debate arose among some of my friends and I that he was very good at playing a specific type of character rather than a wide variety.
