The winners (written by anynmous IMDB reporteroid 2000) 1. L.A. Confidential 2. Boogie Nights 3. Jackie Brown 4. Boyz N The Hood 5. Beverly Hills Cop 6. The Player 7. Clueless 8. Repo Man 9. Collateral 10. The Big Lebowski I have to say I think this list could be widdled down to three or four of the above candites. Two of them wouldn't be on it and Boyz...

In my opinion, the movie would have felt more complete if Bud had died as a result of the last bullet he took after stabbing Dudley. Extreme zealotry in punishing abusers of woman was the central theme of his character. In my mind, after battering Lynn in a jealous rage, he would have lost all respect for himself, having become what he most despised. Therefore, as he and Edmund ...

...is the Dark Knight rated higher on imdb then this masterpiece? At least L.A. Confidential is rated higher on rottentomatoes. For once those critics got it right.

Dudley appeared to shoot him in the torso twice, then in the face. Yet in the final scene he looks like he's recovering. One shot to the chest could well kill you, so its suprising he survived two and one to the face.

Wow. What a movie! I was hooked on every character, and every twist and turn that Hanson threw at me. You know when a movie makes you bolt up from where your sitting, or standing, and shout "Holy *beep* you've had a pretty good movie going experience. ~You wanna have like 10,000 of his babies~ Angela Hayes

Ed comply with the Chief at the end and allow Smith to die a hero's death? I know that he got another Medal of Valour for it, but the movie showed him realising before the end that he became a cop for justice rather than personal achievement. He didn't want Smith to be "Rollo Tomassi" who always gets away with everything. Yet by agreeing to turn a blind eye to the public, he let ...

...that Kim Basinger did not deserve the oscar? don't get me wrong, this isa great movie, but compared to the other actors, i felt basinger was feeble. All she did for me was look hot and act seductive. is that what it takes to get an Oscar? I personally felt Minnie Driver in Good Will Hunting or the old lady in Titanic to be far better than her.
