As far as I know the Jackson tv show was planned before Michael passed away. I don't personally believe that Janet is milking his death. Jermaine and LaToya definitely are, IMO.

She didn't lip sync, she was breathing hard throughout the performance you can hear it. Also the way she was singing during " Miss You Much" is proof she was singing live.
