I've always thought the first fifteen minutes of Temple of Doom to be one of the best openings ever made in a film. From the Paramount-shaped Gong, to the "Anything Goes" Cole Porter number, to the table exchange, to the conundrum, to the chase, to the plane, to be deserted mid-air, to jump off a plane with nothing but an inflatable boat, to landing on a ski slope, ending up on river. Fifteen minutes of absolute awesome....

They couldn't see it because it all happened inside the dragon's mouth and there seemed to be no way of opening this up to show what was inside - and then to return it to the same place in time for Willie Scott's return. I'll trade with anyone who has a jaccuzzi!!!!

I agree entirely. Yes, this is a daft fantasy adventure movie, but it's also pretty dark, disturbed and *beep* up. (Especially if you hate insects.) The other two Indiana Jones films are far far better, they're in a different league of entertainment altogether. (I don't count the 4th one, it's abominable.)

Well, that's a fun research paper to write.
I don't know how well versed you are in film and writing about it, but there is a ton of material you can take advantage of for a project like this. You have at your scribing disposal, Indiana Jones, the character adventurer, and how he is inspired by old 1930's Serials; religious undertoning in all three (I don't usually consider the 4th worth ...

The movie is actually rated PG, not PG-13.
This film, along with Gremlins, was a major reason the PG-13 rating was created. But, of course, at the time of this film's release, the PG-13 rating did not exist.

1. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade- 10/10. I think this is the most fun and entertaining adventure film ever made. From the fantastic action sequences (the tank chase is one of my all-time favorites) to the witty dialogue and the awesome chemistry between Ford and Connery, this is the pinnacle of summer blockbusters for me.
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark- 9.5/10. The original classic, with ...

Like you said, there was no PG-13 rating. So they had to give it PG.
