Actually, G.I. Joe was really good. It was fun, it was utterly self aware, it was more like James Bond movie than the last 12 James Bond movies. Given it's subject matter and the people who would be going to see it, it produced a movie that brought back the childlike wonder of what we used to PRETEND our own action figures were doing, and catered to the kids who are still AT that point. I think this speaks better for it than I can....

Who cares about the Oscars?!? Uhh....the entire world. Biggest award show there is for movies in the world. America just made Avatar, which is going to be a huge success all over the world. Sideways wins an Oscar, so what does Japan do? They remake it and water it down.... Asians constantly turn out original movies? Like I said, we take Japans crap and turn it into gold. I'm a heartless man at worst, babe And a helpless one at best.

I couldn't find it on Google, but whatever, my point is not to say that Akira Toriyama likes the movie because nobody knows what he truly thinks, my point is he did give it his blessing. You may not like Dragon Ball GT, but my ex-girlfriend is Japanese and her favorite Dragon Ball series is GT. What I'm trying to say is do you really have to follow what the creator may or may not like? At least he wasn't pissed off, he...

It is possible the studio no longer has faith in this franchise anymore? They never had any faith in it to begin with! If anything, they just made this as busy work to have something to do during the big Writer's Strike. And no, the extended version isn't coming out anytime soon...if ever. There's just not enough demand. It might happen, but I can't see it happening for a good long while, if at all...

well, james marsters himself said that he was pissed with the ending. He said that they filmed at least twice as much as we saw on the movie and he busted his butt and wanted to see it. so if it ever gets made...it will be because he pushed it through. Are people seriously still talking about this? Yes, Dragonball was a Japanese manga, but were the characters all Japanese? Nope.
Goku was a Saiyan (or Saiya-jin depending upon which language you're going for), so the nationality of the person playing him is totally irrelevant.

Of the year? Come on. Of all time. As a Dragon Ball fan for over a decade this movie made me weep, vomit and convulse all at once.
Manos: The Hands of Fate and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians are masterpieces compared to this steaming pile of sh!t.

in my opinion.
that actually makes a lot of sense in theory.
and i can bet a million dollars that if this movie had michael bay and transformers 2's budget...then it would have been way better.
BUT, those are the very reasons why DB must not be done to be successful.
the story must be condensed but still be true to the anime as much as possible.
action must not be the main focus of ...
