Seriously get over yourself, you ass. It's far from my favorite show. Thanks for playing, though You sure do get defensive. And I know exactly what "ad hominem, white noise drivel" means. As a studying journalist, I don't need some internet nobody who can only use big words in random orders, yet make no sense out of them, what the definition of a word is. I also know, from looking over your post history, these are...

It sucked!!

Let's address the fact that Spielberg is so brilliant that he took a great premise(1941 and had the brilliant John Belushi as its star), but made one of the most unfunny films ever. Hook, Always, The Terminal, AI(wish Kubrick had lived long enough to make it), War of the Worlds, and his most recent Indiana Jones abortion all suck. Schindler's List worked well as a satire, but the unfunny Spielberg wasn't attempting satire. Also...

Does anyone else have the feeling that this hilariously corny motivation video shown in Donnie Darko was inspired by the even more hilariously corny "Be Somebody or Be Somebody's Fool!" video made with Mr. T in 1984?

There is no loop. It would end because as explained in the Director's Cut when the unstable temporary Tangent Universe collapses a black hole will be formed in the Primary Universe, destroying all existence..

Donnie Darko Syncs
Published (2009-11-28 14:23:00)
There is at least one hint in Dommie Darko that it was synced with the music of Led Zeppelin. "The precipitant has a smaller place in real existence, thus ... it is mortal."

I think he may just be both the "too stupid to fathom it" and the "too smart to overlook it's shortcomings". They're just arguing with each other. Nothing wrong with that. "Ready to get stupid?! I know I am!" -- Homer J. Simpson

A huge number of independent films thesedays (Sundance films especially put a bad taste in my mouth; I just think most are mediocre)
The two you posted are really great examples of films that in my oppinion, are massively overated. As for mine, however...

The extra footage actually makes the film better, but they also inserted new sequences where you will read passages from the book "The Philosophy of Tme travel". Also, changes had been made with some of the music pieces and the sound editing: For example, the very first scene with Donnie laying on the street, standing up and smiling has been completely abused in the Directors Cut, because the ...

Wow, I thought I was the only person on this planet who didn't like Donnie Darko. It's really one of those movies I just cannot understand why people like it so much. It feels like a 12 hour film where absolutely nothing happens. I usually never post my thoughts simply because then you get death threats from the crazy fanatics. I wouldn't be surprised if someone wishes I get cancer and die a ...

There are one or two other small deleted scenes that are inserted in the Director's Cut but the biggest difference would be the text from the " Philosophy of Time Travel" book they added.
