I know that they did it to avoid split votes but it is bull *beep* He has an unfair advantage over true supporting performers with less than half the screen time to work with. Just because you're other lead performance is overshadowed and probably wouldn't make the cut as lead, tough *beep* they shouldn't be able to just call him supporting because it helps there chances. Also if they would have both been nominated who cares...

I've heard others claim that the song is a joke, and I hope they're right (I truly like Willie Nelson) but I'm not convinced that Willie was joking around when he covered the song.

So apparently darko and the OP discount Sean Penn's win as Harvey Milk as "meaningless".

The Imaginarium of Ennis Delmarssus

Terry Gilliam's film are often chock full of inventive visuals, and the narrative is often not of primary importance to him. It is better to approach his films as "mood pieces." Director George Lucas once observed that "no movie is ever finished, only abandoned." I think you're completely missing my point. You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Jack and Ennis were closeted homosexuals. Do you understand what that means? And Ennis in particular was homophobic and self-loathing. Ennis and Jack married and had kids because that's what they thought was expected of them. And are you really that naive to think that the boys had "emotional" relationships with their wives? Please. You and this "reviewer" obviously do not understand homophobia...

They're together, they check each other out, they become close, they yearn for each other, then one drunken night they very forcefully give in to their urges . It isn't random and it isn't sudden, if you really watch what's going on between them. The second time I saw it, their mutual attraction and growing intimacy were very obvious to me. Ennis couldn't give Jack candy and flowers and then ...

I saw Brokeback Mountain six times in theaters. This is how much I was affected by it. Then why were you trolling this very board back then under the name "LeslieDanica." You were making very hostile posts and then blaming them on your "sister," an excuse you've made several times on your various trolling accounts.
The music and the cinematography moved me. Then why did you complain, ...

Sadly, watching the Academy Awards has become a lot like watching someone's drunken grandfather doing karaoke to hip hop music.

True, but the story is really about Ennis. Nominating two male leads in the same movie would pretty much effectively split the vote and lessen both actors chances of winning.

There's all kinds of naked guys running around in this film. Mostly butt shots though, Lots of male/male smooching, hand holding, etc. Not much nooky though. Lots of guys naked together in bed cuddling and smooching. Frequent shots of guys checking out each other's crotches.
You should probably avoid it, too much gay stuff.

I saw the trailer for the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus on Sunday at the movies.
It was really strange to see new images of Heath Ledger knowing that he is dead.
The film looks fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing it next March.

1. Fishing Buddies- was just a story pulled out off the top of his head. The fact that Alma doesn't reveal how much she really knows is one of the elements that makes the film so enigmatic. Apparently it's working because after all those viewings, you are still wondering 'why'.
2. Jack and Lashawn- Jack is clearly having and affair with Randall. Ennis believes that the homosexual relationship ...
