Wow......you really don't understand the idea of a remake, do you? I reiterate, a remake does NOT have to be identical; as long as the core principles are the same, it's a remake. I saw this movie many years ago, about a lunatic father who abused his kids. I can't remember the name of it, but I remember quit a few scenes from it: -A scene where the daughter is taking a shower, and the father comes in and tells her she's not cleaning herself good enough, then takes a brush and starts scrubbing her face. the son sees this and points the fathers gun at him, ready to kill him, but doesn't do it. I agree that she looked great in a bikini. I have no problem looking at a hot body and I enjoyed seeing her body in every scene. I disagree this was a bad movie, I loved it and I loved the original.

To me, I do not think a lot of movies are appropriate for kids nowawdays. I will tell you there is not much viloence. He only kills 3 people. There is not a lot of profanity. Maybe 20 words if I remember correctly. That always ruins a movie for me. There is one love scene with the stepdad and mom, but it's not graphic to me. The son and girlfriend have a few kissing scenes, but nothing too ...

Haha, good point. I never would have caught on to that. But I guess "My Mom's Psycho Boyfriend" isn't quite as catchy.
