I'm in Houston, smack dab between the two American Disney resorts. :( And the nearest Disney store is an hour away. ;_; But my house is a Disney sanctuary, so it's okay. My Christmas tree is 80% Disney ornaments and my kitchen is Mickey Mouse themed. xD Princess or Frogger ? ... both !

Well, and unvaried cast usually does not a good movie make. I don't know if they were ever posted on this board but there were a few Youtube videos of the panel discussion @ D23 where some of the supervising animators drew/talked about designing their characters ex: Naveen has "Jonas Bros. eyebrows" and Randy Haycock ran character designs by his daughter to see which one she'd go out with, Facilier is the love child...

Hmmm, that's weird, because from what I've seen, it's advertised, like, everywhere . They do those "top secret tours" on Disney channel during movies that bring all the younger kids to the yard. They've been showing promos before movies. There are posters. There's publicity about Disney return to 2D animation. Disneyland is doing shows and mini-sized parades to tie in. They're not taking any...

The animators gave Odie such expressive jowls and neck because she doesn't have visible eyes.
Actually, when I thought more about how the animator said Facilier was like the kid of Captain Hook and Cruella DeVil, you can really see a lot of their features on him.
You can definitely see the Proud Family influence though.
Tiana manages to look like Belle without sharing many of the same ...

People see what they want to see I guess. But it's pretty obvious that she was based on Anika, and nobody would ever say Anika has European features. She at least doesn't have a carved up nose like just about every known actress in Hollywood.
They also say Tiana's too light while at the same time referring to Michelle Obama as dark-skinned. I mean, they could have made her darker...but they ...

I have this mental image of a sweet, but awkward guy. With that sort of "Aww, shucks" personality. Not really good at expressing his feelings. Kind of like Hugh Grant in practically every role of his.
His princess, regardless of her race (though if she's not black, people will riot in the streets) should be a fierce, passionate person. Assertive and independent.

Are you kidding me? Disney is advertising the heck out of this movie. Do you not watch TV, go on the internet, read newspapers or internet news sites, go to Disney parks, or shop at bookstores, Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, or Target? PatF is EVERYWHERE. I rarely watch TV, and all the times I have recently, I've seen a commercial for PatF.
Besides, it has the number three average-gross-per-theater-on-...

You're right. Disney is PURPOSELY trying to anger part of their target audience, losing them money. Because Disney HATES money and they also LOVE to make people unhappy.
And for the record, I have a friend who is half black and half Vietnamese, who is dating an Indian man. And they're both extremely happy and extremely in love.
