Thank you OLiver for Possibly the worse movie ever made, it fails in
epic proportions.
Collin Farrell after watching this movie is also in my top ten of worse actors in existence.

I agree. Appalling decision (as well others).

The real Alexander was short, fat and ordinary looking. He didn't look "kingly" or seem
charismatic to anyone who didn't already know who he was.

I thought
Farrell did a great job, and I loved the movie.
I would have loved to see the Baz Luhrmann film with Leo DiCaprio as Alexander and Nicole Kidman as Olympias. It got cancelled after Alexander flopped.

I think they are different. I have the HD DVD version and I am pretty confident they are different, but I am not 100% sure. I know that is an ambiguous answer and does not help; but I would go ahead and say they are different because the documentary from
Sean Stone is amatuer footage; so I doubt it would be the same with just a re-branding.

Judging by what he did with "Australia", and judging that Oliver Stone's version "Alexander Revisited" was a great improvement of the theatrical version, I'd say that Baz Luhrman would have done a bad job of it. Consider the fact that he would have cast Leo di Caprio and
Nicole Kidman in it. Leo's an awesome actor, just not right for the role of Alexander. And Nicole Kidman? That explains itself.

This is a link to "
we're going home"...and it will to lead to other unreleased parts of the film's music. This is my favourite bit of music from the whole film. I still can't believe it wasn't included on the OST.
Expect typos! Blonde, dyslexic and frankly I don't care..this is IMDB. There will NOT be a test.

I've heard there was a subplot between Cassander (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and Roxane (Rosario Dawson) where the two collaborated together to kill/overthrow/or do something to Alexander. It could've merely been a plot where Roxane and Cassander have sex behind Alexander's back I'm not sure. I heard they shot a few scenes for that whole subplot but
Oliver Stone felt the whole thing was out of ...

Sweet suffering jeebus...what a load of incoherent baloney.
I tried to respond to the argument, but was laughing too hard. And your link? What exactly is it to? And it really doesn't back up your rant anyway...except for the last post in your link.
But here's a clue, the
modern Greek response to Stone actually showing Alexander in a relationship with Hephaistion and Bagaos isn't a ...

As a fellow European (well...British with West
African heritage), I whole-heartedly disagree.
What's more, I would love to see this French film made about a gay George Bush (provided they explain that they either have strong evidence to back it up or just plain made it up).
It's only a movie - no need to start rising up against Hollywood just yet.
