Its a little sad to when you think of the honor guard in the first film at the Pevensies coranation and compare the two. It shows just how much the centaurs of Caspians time are just a shadow of what they once were. "Any plan that involves loosing your hat is a BAD plan." "

Any else cheer for the human army?
Published (2009-12-13 16:23:00)
well, i didn't really cheer the human army, but I always think there is to much black and white in movies and like you say, individual soldiers are most of the timy fairly innocent. I think i pretty often end up charing for the bad guys because I get so tierd of super heroes dodging 1001 bullets and arrows...

No I prefered LWW as well because it had a more magical feel about it. In this one when they went to Narnia it could easily have been any film in the same genre.

None of us were in the room, so none of really knows if Lewis asked him to read the books or not. My understanding is that Lewis sought Tolkien's advice, and I have never read that Tolkien sought out his. It is frequently written that Tolkien didn't think much of the Narnia books.

Published (2009-12-19 10:27:00)
Yes, obviously. I know Narnia fans get really annoyed at the comparison, and always fight back with "the books were actually published before LOTR". This is true, but the films were made after the LOTR films, and you can see that the people who made Narnia were heavily influenced. The resemblance between the LOTR horse chase and the Prince Caspian one struck me right away. But I still loved the Prince Caspian scene, and I do...

The book had the trees come to save the good guys as well, just in a different way. They merely chased the bad guys before the battle really got going.

That is such a beautiful place! I do understand why they chose the beach for the movie.

Part of the hhe horse chase seemed to be a straight copy from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring where Arwen is being chased by the Ring Wraiths. The horses were in same formation and camera angles were the same.

Ben is the oldest one, so he can be sexy. William was 20 during filming, so he can be hot. Skandar was 15 during filming so he can be described as cute, but not hot or sexy.
Personally, I like the girls so I cannot comment on the boys' looks
