in the train robbing that occurs early in the film, jesse emerges out of this huge cloud of smoke, and that scene was very impressive to me. the direction of the movie... all of the shots of the sky, etc., was very good. overall, the movie was ok, dragging quite a bit, but between the look of the movie and casey affleck's intense creepiness, i enjoyed it.

this movie got so screwed at the Oscar's. This was easily better than every movie that was nominated. And Pitt definitely should've been nominated for an Oscar, even though I don't think his performance was better than Daniel Day Lewis. This film was a true masterpiece and is one of my favorite films.

Can someone explain to me what was going on with Dick, Ed, Wood, and Jim and how they effected Jesse. I got lost with those characters' stories. I know that Dick slept with Wood's dad's wife, and that's why they wanted to kill each other, but I didn't get anything else.

Just watched the movie for the first time, and although I enjoyed it I felt there was a big hole at the film's heart the acting of Brad Pitt. As a result I felt no fascination with Jesse James, unlike the character of Robert Ford, acted with such subtlety and astuteness by Casey Affleck. All I can say is, what a shame.

What can I say about this movie? Hmm... Well for starters it was nominated for 2 Oscars this past year for Best Achievement in Cinematography and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and many other nominations by others. The cinematography was good. Casey Affleck was great as Robert Ford, pretty creepy guy. First and most importantly I am from Missouri, born and raised! ...

It seemed that way to me. It was strange how he just decided to take off his gun and set it down on the table and then turn his back on them. Did he want to die? Also, who was the guy that ended up shooting Robert? I wasn't too clear on that part.

He truly was a coward and a rat. He turned in the jesse gang to get rich and he killed Jesse not just for the money but on the idea of becoming famous and idolized. He killed Jesses cousin when his cousin had no intention of harming Robert. (surely the fact he didn't harm him when Robert insulted him was evudence?). Sure it was a little sad when he got insulted every day, but surely he ...

I don't quite understand how Casey Affleck was nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" in this film, he was clearly the lead (had more screentime than Pitt) and the story seemed to be more focused on Robert Ford than it was James. I find it despicable that despite being nominated for "supporting actor" he still lost out to Javier Bardem, I think they should have nominated him for the "...

I mean the Jesse James this movie portrayed was not exactly Robin Hood, nor was he a likeable character, and He did not exactly kill people fairly either by tossing them a gun and having a shoot Out. I think the movie should have showed a bit in the first half, on why exactly the people Loved Jesse James so much that they refused to applause when Bob Ford Killed Him. Is this ...
