You've never heard of adopted kids that want to know about their birth parents? She seemed fascinated by the similarities between herself and Trudy so I could see her wanting to know more.

Mysteries are great for the brain. They really do help. But alas, sometimes the injury makes me a bit grumpy. I really try to be cheerful though..

Bad Finale, and USA Network...
Published (2009-12-04 19:17:00)
I thought it was a poor, rushed finale. One thing that gratified me is that I was right in thinking so poorly about the f%#$&#*n USA Network. Hours before the episode aired, I made these comments in a "Final Notes/Comments" thread. Looks like I was right to think the worst -- the Trudy mystery had (1) nothing to do with past episode clues or anything else on the USA "Monk" home page's...

Clever way to set up a preview
Published (2009-12-04 02:18:00)
The producers of "Monk" really came up with a clever, teasing "pre-view" for the final show of the series. Look at it again, and you'll see that there are, basically, only two people in the clip: Monk and Stottlemeyer. Yes, sure, there are a couple of anonymous policemen who are dragging Monk someplace, but we don't know them; we see a brief snippet of Randy for about one second; we see even less...

I agree with darlawriter. They lead us on and then we get nothing. But at the end when it showed Randy at his new job with a picture of Sharona, and when the captain eas telling TK goodbye, we saw Monk and Natalie going to a crime scene. This I'm proud of because they didn't show sub boy. And really that's all I need to know that Monk and Nat have a future together. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ8O2KRSTWY Monk/Nat lol!

I wondered about that. I intend to look carefully when I watch it again. I think they always intended him to be a state judge.
I know this -- when they went to his home to get the warrant signed, Stottlemeyer referred to him as being nominated to the " State Supreme Court."
Nelson said the Governor had called him to ask if he wanted to be nominated. Governors don't do that for federal ...

Yeah, it was a good ending for the series.
Although it would have been cool to see Dale again, I think the end of " Mr. Monk is On the Run" was a good departure for him.

A Monk/Psych crossover is an unmined vein of gold. It would have been/be great. Gus could have taken some lessons from Adrian. As a matter of fact, that could have been a scene all unto itself.
The promos they had a few years ago showed how great that would have been.

To be honest, I enjoyed Monk episode to episode, each for its own entertainment value. I didn't really care about all the different clues that that troll keeps writing about. I thought the last episode was great. I am sad that it's over, but I don't have anger towards anyone. This isn't Lost, I don't expect every plot line to come together into an amazing final revelation. I just enjoy each ...

I'm not trying to "beat you up" over it, but I just can't see Monk and Natalie ever hooking up. They have such a wonderful friendship, but I can't see them linked romantically.
I agree, though, that the Dale the Whale connection was never really explored. How did he know so much? If the Judge's secret was so well kept, how could word have gotten to Dale, and why wouldn't Dale have used ...

That theory doesn't take into account the phone call between the man that killed Trudy and Joey Kaz. If that man were Lt. Steve Albright, then what's the point him telling Joey Kaz to kill Monk, if he intended to do it himself?
So, Lt. Steve is pretty much ruled out. And I think it's pretty clear that Judge Ethan Rickover is Trudy's killer. We know "who", we just don't know "why".

We're left to assume she's pure as heart like Trudy and would like to know about her mom and learn what kind of a person she was. She must also understand how much Trudy meant to him and how much having a part of Trudy can mean to him.. and he's a part of Trudy for her too.

You left out Randy did it, Stott did it, Sharona did it, Lt Albright did it, and Trudy was doing a story that involved Mitch in some illegal activity.
