I kind of agree with you. I love their collaboration, but I would like to see Scorsese direct a different leading man for a movie or two. Though I wouldn't rule out future collaborative projects by any means.

I'm apparently in the minority here. Blood Diamond?? Seriously? You didn't think his accent was absurd?

Agreed excellent in Kurosawa's Dreams, my second favorite Dream from the movie too, also great in Taxi Driver too.

oh PLEASE stop using dicaprio

I can't say he's below average. Consider who your average actors are. Andy Garcia, Hugh Jackman, Clive OWen, Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Keanu Reeves, Bruce Willis, Gerard Butler,Ben Afflec and Matt Damon. I think Decaprio in recent years has been coming past the lesser actors on the list and up to matching the better actors on the list. His Accents do need work but I thought he did well in The Departed. In fact the people in the...

I really get tired of Leo in Marty's films also. Truth be told, I never really appreciate Leo until I saw him in "The Aviator," but one of the things I loved about Scorsese is his ability to draw big-name, diverse talent for his films, and the reliance on DiCaprio is tedious. Surely half of Hollywood wants to work with Marty; why can't he branch out a bit at this point in his career?

I completely disagree. DiCaprio has grown into an incredible actor, and to call his performances in "Gangs of New York", " The Aviator" and "Blood Diamond" unconvincing is just ridicolous. I think DiCaprio is great in all of Scorsese's movie and I'm looking forward to their next two projects "Shutter Island" and "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt". But I guess, that's just me!

Well, he's not the most emotional director around ( Raging Bull , maybe, excluded), but then neither are Hitch and Kubrick.
I AM NOT MONTEL WILLIAMS.

Scorsese doesn;t support Polanski's actions. He is insulted as a filmmaker that the goverment used the art of filmmaking to make political games. They should release him, out him back in france, ask his sorry for the inconvenience, give him money for the time they wasted and then, try to arrest him normally. Festivals ensure to all filmmakers, no matter where they came from that their movies and ...
