UPDATED Sat Aug 30 2008 12:35:59 The movie intentionally wanted to be subtle in it's portrayal of Joshua, but I never wavered even for a second, I never went back and fourth or suspected his parents/grandparents/uncle. I also never thought of anything
incestuous happening between his mother and her brother, or that he was being molested/abused by his uncle or anyone else for ...

Mar 25 2008 15:56:44 I agree, that is what I took at the end of the movie. There are a lot of postings here saying the Uncle molested him. I don't belive that, as one of the last lines in the movie is the Uncle telling Joshua that siblings have to rely on each other in stressful times. Huge hint at incest if I ever saw one. If the Uncle was molesting him, ...

Do we ever find out how he killed
the hamsters in his class, the dog, or his guinea pig?

I've heard many people saying "The Dad should have just showed the tape to someone." Joshua never did ANYTHING wrong in that tape besides wake up a baby and
videotape the dog.

I understand that the director spent a good amount of time with those 'Hell House' nutjobs here in Texas, but was it really necessary to portray Joshua's grandparent's like that as well? I went to a large
Southern Baptist church for years and I live and work less than a mile away from Joel Osteen's mega-Lakewood Church. There are churches EVERYWHERE around here, and I can honestly say...

Even before he commited his evil acts, just his
mannerisms along might me despise the kid. The scene in which his father hits him in front of everyone really made my blood boil. Guess the little boy proved himself as an actor huh?

at the end was because Ned realized something was not right with the kid. Joshua liked the uncle because he became the new father figure after the dad paid more attention to Lily and Mom due to their conditons. JMHO.

Let's see there's a tape of Joshua terrorizing his infant sister and he pushed his grandma down the cement steps
at the museum with witnesses because the second it happens you can see a woman clap ahand to her face and all these gasps from other onlookers . Okay, so sit on all that and don't even try to get this fixed. That tape is all I would have needed to show authorities and the ...
