On one post you said something like: 'Back to the ratings...' and left the whole debate thing alone, then out of nowhere he starts rebutting posts from like page 2 or 3, he wants to argue God love 'um! 'God loves me because I argue'? Or because I don't care for Indy4?? First time I read something addressed to me I reply. Sometimes I'm late...sorry. And fair enough, he doesn't like the film, but I...

well it must surely be a bit of a downer to have everyone hating on them all of a sudden. i doubt they made the movie for money because lets face it, speilberg and lucas are both billionaires. they made it for the fans

TRUE fans can't accept "Skull". And it's fact that "Indiana Jones" means real stunts. The main-problem is: Most action-scenes in "Skull" are implausible. That's why "Skull" is an ANTI-Indy-Movie. As we all know "Indiana Jones" means real stunts and beleievable action-scenes: "Indy 1 - 3": Many-many real stunts, many-many...

Yeah exactly. Just like with the newer Star Wars films, Lucas knew full well that he didn't have to make anything spectacular to get people to go. The originals were so great, and there are countless fans. All people had to do was hear there was going to be another Indiana Jones and they were there. Just like so many others, while I had a feeling it wasn't going to be that great, I went because I simply wanted to see our hero on...

Worst good actor in the film

And oh yea......John Hurt. Just because the role requires him to play a mad man doesn't mean it's a waste of talent or a poor job.......that's what the role is . When Spielberg pitched the role to Hurt, he compared the role to Ben Gunn from 'Treasure Island'.......in fact, the role is actually very similar to Ben Gunn. Is Ben Gunn a poor character?

...And now that I have your attention... Do you think an "Indy 5" (if it ever comes to fruition) should be a prequel to KOTCS? Personally, I think they might want to consider going the 'prequel' route, just as "Doom" was to "Raiders." "Skull" seems to be the definitive end to the Indy story. ...I, for one, don't want to see Dr. Jones saddled with a wife...

Unbelievable things in KOTCS

Maybe in the next movie we'll find out that god was protecting him and then it will all make sense. God already protected Indy in Raiders , and all Indy had to do? Close his eyes. Yes, that made a lot of sense :) (In fact it's kind of interesting that contrary to Raiders Indy actually looked straight at man made destruction in KotCS.) voting history: http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=629013

Grow up idiot. You're the one acting like an 8 year old. Anyone of any age can enjoy a film, only children and the very juvenile insult people for doing so.

I suspect it's him too. He seems to be one of the few people who actually cares about the rating.

'I hope they do not make another....ever.'
They are. I believe they are writing the script right as we type on this board.

We all get the scene but we don't appreciate it.....it's stupid and that's the reason it was rewritten out of Back to the Future.
This is the fanbase that hates their own favorite director worse than the Transformers fans hate Transformers.
I wouldn't be so sure of that the new Transformers films (admittedly they are terrible) receive far more hate from Transformers fans then Indiana Jones...

Yeah, what the hell?
This movie is so damn bad, it's terrifying! I found two "good" things in this movie, the sound and the FX. And that is quite expected in this budget segment!
Respect lost for Spielberg!

The hate you see on this message board is REALLY overstated. I've been to other boards about this film, and it's refreshing to see many people on those boards talking about how much they enjoyed the movie. And of the people I've talked to in real life, the opinions range from "It was great!" to "Meh, not as good as the first three, but still a fun movie." I haven't met anyone in the real world...

Amongst being other things, yes, all Indy films are comedies to some degree.

I've mentioned before that I think Shambhala would be a great subject for a movie. It's a mystical land from Buddhist myth said to be hidden somewhere beyond the Himalayas.

Indiana Jones 4 is the only movie not to win or be nominated for an Oscar. (actually won a Razzie) ...And it had the most technical/factual/continuance errors of the franchise- ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367882/goofs )
But-59% of the professional critics in the US did review the film with an overall 'favorable' critique. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/indiana_jones_and_ the_kingdom_...

They were to a degree but there is a point where far fetched scenes go from being larger then life, to being beyond the realm of suspension of disbelief and Crystal Skull crossed that line frequently.

Hurt. A terrific actor's talents wasted on a mad-man.
( The madman being Ox, not Lucas.)
