I don't have to rethink anything...I'm proud to say that I don't support an oppressive, hateful, and human rights violating govt. like Israel.. This tends to be an unpopular opinion based on how we got a Zionist loving media and AIPAC conrolling much of what goes on in D.C. but it's one I hold and am not ashamed to hold. Call me Anti Semetic if you want but it's not a position I will ever alter. You would also be wrong...

Top 250 and IMDB ratings mean *beep* By that logic Dark Knight is better than countless classic films. Besides Critics gave Brokeback much better reviews anyways.

I've just seen "Crash" for my first time and I have to agree with you, stage. I thought "Brokeback Mountain" to be excellent in its own right but this movie had much more depth than BBM and then some. Kudos to your remark about respect. I am new to this board but I have been hanging out on the Politics board for quite some time. That board can be a very brutal place. I am Jeremy Grimaldi and I approve...

The worst movie ever!
Published (2009-11-20 09:54:00)
Well, it's always trendy to take pokes at one variety of classic lit or another, isn't it. To those that do, I like to ask them how many of their books people will still be reading in 150 years. I like to assume that if something's been continuously in print for over a century, it's probably pretty good writing, even if it's not particularly to my taste. Naturally, not everyone may like Dickens. Frankly, he can get a...

I never said my opinion was more valid than anyone elses. I just didn't like it. You said 99.9% didn't like the movie because it beat out Brokeback Mountain. That's not why I didn't like it. I thought Crash was Hollywood's amateurish take on race relations; not realistic at all and not believable either. Just Hollywood stereotypes, granted a little enhanced but still stereotypes. It was too contrived. You want me to...

Hello, Atlanta, Savannah here!
Don't judge California or Californians by this movie. One of the main messages of this movie is the folly of prejudice.
I, too, knew people who wore the Confederate flag as a fashion statement. Most of them seemed to have little interest in the political implications of that flag. I avoided them, however, on general principal. I cannot embrace anyone who ...

Not even remotely a contest. 'Do The Right Thing' is light years ahead of 'Crash'.

Very good, Mick-137! But we do see that many claiming to be victims are quite willing to be hypocrites and victimize others.

Brokeback Mountain was robbed that year. Far better film than Crash in all respects, IMHO. I think, generally, the academy get it right though. this year, for example, Slumdog was by far the best film on offer. 2004 was one year I was disappointed by the result, but looking back on it Million Dollar Baby did deserve to win - I wanted Ray to get it at the time.
One that I think was quita a ...

You falsely assume because there's a policy, that the officers follow that policy. There are countless documented cases of police misconduct, so the existence of a policy doesn't prove that such harassment doesn't or can't happen. And "Cops" is hardly definitive proof either. You can't prove a negative: i.e. that a male frisking a female has never happened. Beyond that, many scenes in many...

I just watched Crash on Comcast On Demand and I thought it was awful. I've never seen Brokeback Mountain so I can't compare the two movies.
I guess I'm in that .1 per cent group.

Don't bother man, I live overseas, in Europe, reality is different here, people's opinions are different. A change in the character? Wow, I printed your post and made lot of people laugh. A cop changes his character? Helping someone out of the burning car makes you a better, changed man, oh, come on. If I see Bin Laden on fire I'd help him, because it's human, it doesn't mean that I like the guy....
